Don’t you miss the botters now? After the botter ban waves, prices of top demanded items like Ectos and T6 mats doubled or even trippled on TP. Ofcourse, it was unfair that botters could farm without even sitting behind their PC while others couldn’t, but they caused some balance to the GW2 economy, and that balance is gone now…

It balances better without botters. All the botters do is create a disproportion between the rich and poor. They’d get so rich that Anet would have to design a gold sink that regular players could never afford.

Having said that I’ve been getting lonely in PvE so it’s a happy moment to see someone, even if it is a botter just so you know that you’re not alone xD

A warrior, a guardian, and an elementalist walk into an open field…
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”

I miss how they populated the world. I liked that there were small groups of AI running around killing things, it made the game world feel more alive. I would honestly love to see some Anet made AI doing what the bots did, without the looting and economy part.

No it doesn’t, after ban waves a huge inflation appeared. In my country, the gov responds to inflation by increasing the salaries. In GW2 there is inflation, but the ‘salaries’ are not increased, we still get the same money from events or selling items to merchants.

What sort of botting activities are they running? More of the new wave of nodebots? Or has someone noticed the bots event farming, or mob-jumping?
Any reports on their specific activities would be greatly appreciated. There seems to be quite a lack of anything other than the nodebots, due to the obvious pointlessness of farming mobs for anything other than the occasional porous bone.

Not everyone used to farm, some people had other ways to earn money, and these ways might be ruined now because the skyrocketing prices. Ok, farmers got their coin, now the other players.

In the United States, the gov. respond by bailing out the Banks(They’re like somewhat botters) by having the FED to print money, therefore valuating the US$ and making your money worth less = you buy less stuff. Sorry for not being on topic.

But, they already do. Mobs and NPCs aggro off of one another. I’ve already seen scenarios where two event bosses were duking it out with one another.

Wow, I would love to see that

Sadly, the only none event NPC’s I’ve come across can never hold their own against enemies out in the field and are often dead already when I find them.

So you earn more gold to buy things that are similarly inflated. I fail to see this as any real benefit to you.

Love to abuse bots.
See the path what they are going, farm the mats!
After that target the mobs first and let them get the aggro, loot and repeat.

Bugged bots are funny as hell when they are bugged (they standing still, not moving at all). Target a Mob…ran through the bugged Bot, he get killed all the time, ress him (good for a achievement…..).

Ress him, rinse and repeat till he is naked as hell lollll

Bots can give us a lot of joy

Botters? No. Reasonable Charged Lodestone prices? yes. It’s just a matter of making them drop more frequently. The current drop rate is not really reasonable.

I miss bots because I was able to use them to help me level characters in Kessex Hills, Harathi Hinterlands and Sparkfly Fen. To be honest, the drops weren’t so bad either. I also got to find out what they were botting.

I could definitely see the impact they had on the prices of crafting materials. I do miss the lower prices because I craft for my own characters.

Personally, I don’t consider farming to be playing the game. Farming takes time away from being able to actually play when I have to kill the same monsters repeatedly in the hopes of them dropping the material I need to craft something because the price to buy it on the TP has gone up because the bots are gone. And drop rates are so good right?

Right now, I think people are looking at guides written to speed level trades which rely on people buying items from the trading post instead of farming. Sky Marin’s cooking guide is one example. While some players are using the guide to level cooking, others are looking at it as a way to make money. Different strokes.

So yeah I do miss bots. They are still around but I’m not reporting them anymore.

Why do you even play a game if you dont want to actually play it? Go to the fields and do your own thing… is it more fun to be waiting for the prices to drop? Is it killing the same mob for an hour is too kitten terrible you prefer no to report the guys who cheat? Seriously, why do you even play this?

you obviously don’t get it do you? the botters ARE THE REASON prices are so high.. think about this.. bots farm materials/ gold…. bots are own by the gold sellers who sell the suckers the gold, LOTS of gold is now in the game.. with a lot of gold, ppl don’t care to spend more gold for mats/items, thus the price goes up up up & up some more… now the bots are going away (albeit very slowly) this gold isn’t in the game so much, as the amount of gold in the game drops, so too will the prices, as ppl won’t be paying so much.. give it time, it’ll happen..
