Done everything I'm interested in
What they have to do is fix the problems with PvP/WvW, add more cosmetic rewards for PvE instead of vertical grind, and make crafting/open-world-PvE more useful and fun.

Of course you will run out of things if you choose not to participate in most of the activities Arenanet has given us to do. This game is about map completion, running dungeons, event/karma/gold farming, wvw, personal story, spvp, acquiring a legendary and other weapon/armor skins, and living stories in general.
It seems you chose to cut most of those things from your to do list, and only focused on the short-lived ones. I recommend looking at what you want out of a game, you seem more suited to single player games by the sound of it.
Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything that needs to be “fixed” per-se. You’ve stated that you don’t want to do any of the other non-story content ArenaNet has made for the game. That being the case, there’s no guarantee that anything new ArenaNet would add to the game would be something you’d like. Indeed, outside of the Flame and Frost arc, it’s quite likely that it wouldn’t be something you’d be interested in. (Fractals, Dungeons, WvW, sPvP, more dynamic events or maps not driven by a story, etc… all seem “out of bounds”)
If the only thing that’s driving you is story-driven content, then you’ll never find a game where that can be produced as fast as you will consume it. Just as it takes you less time to read a book than it took the author to write it, you’ll always be able to play through story content faster than any development team can release it.
However, since the personal story has many introductory arcs, and three order arcs, one possibility would be to create other characters and make different choices about race and the other options during character selection. I believe each race has three “paths” for the initial story arc, and then there’s the three order arcs. There are minor choices to be made during those as well, but those are the main paths. Doing this would also give you a story-based reason to explore more of the world, as the various races and orders take you to different places in the world.
Your other options are to expand your horizons of what to do in the game beyond those required by the story, or take a break from it until more story content is released. Since there’s no subscription involved, it’s utterly painless to take a break and come back when there’s more to do that you want to experience.
I wander around, still explore and gain mats whilst doing dailys. Although I often go out and help others with their adventure which is a good time sink between content
Seen half the maps run 3 dungeons and 3 fractals ..Done everything?
Hey Ma i cooked dinner
What you do son
I shot the chicken
There is a beautiful complex interesting world out there runing a—b—c for personal story and exp isnt starting the game let alone finished it.
Little caves events npc are all over explore not because you have to be at xxx for a quest explore for the joy of what is over that hill. Personal story is probably the worst part of the game now youve got that out of the way go enjoy GW2
Whether or not you need 100% Map Completion doesn’t mean it’s not content you should ignore.
If you’re really bored, pick a part of the map and go explore it. Might find something really cool.
Lv80s: Guard, Thief, Necro. Renewed my Altaholic’s card on the HoT Hype-Train. Choo choo~
So because you’ve finished everything in the game you find interesting, you think it’s up to Anet to fix that?
I guess they could send you a copy of a different game.
shrug
well, honestly pvp and wvw are a huge part of the replayability of this game.
otherwise, depends, jumping puzzle can be fun, seek them.
temples? grenth is cool.
do all the dungeons 3 explorable paths, its fun if you like new encounters etc.
yeah, your “personal story is over”. and i would have much prefered the living story to include some personal story too.
and yeah, its missing, you miss that “need to go there”. now its “set your own goal”. it isnt for everybody.
that, plus, you dont like pvp/wvw… well, youre kittened!
You purposefully chose to ignore 3 quarters of the game because you don’t “need” them and then you think there’s a problem with lack of content. Interesting.
Something that’ll entertain you for 2 weeks takes 2 months to be developed.
“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”
maybe the OP wants us to roll over a “gameover” on his screen ?
I think your definition of “everything” is a little squeued. Currently, I’ve leveld 5 characters to 80 and have started leveling a second guardian. I’ve run almost every dungeon path (lacking SE 1,2 and all of CoE), as well as finished map completion once and have 50% on two other chars. I have accumulated a total of 38 laurels and am about 80% through a legendary. I have not done everything and still find hours of content a day, but it seems I have definitely done a lot more than you.
Basically, you’ve done everything you are interested in. I’m not exactly sure what the point of this post is. I’d say you should create another character or explore some more maps, but I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for. If you enjoyed the story, then definitely create the story because you only experienced one of quite a few story archs. At least consider getting a new char to the level 30 story and run through a different Order.
Plus, you picked the worst dungeon to get tokens in. CM is one of the most annoying dungeons I’ve ever run. I have only accumulated 530 tokens. Just enough to get my gift of nobility.
I agree with previous commenters that I don’t think this is something that needs to be ‘fixed’. What you’re after, it seems, is a constant stream of content for you to work through. What we have, instead, is a world that ArenaNet maintain. They’re actually adding a lot to it, but that’s not the point. There’s plenty of content; if you’ve done everything you want to do out of the designed stuff but don’t want to leave yet, make your own fun. Remember the bit in ‘massively multi-player’ where there are other people there?
When the game starts feeling stale for me I roll an Alt.
Trying a fresh class and traveling a diferent path can really refresh the game.
When you are ready to go back to your original character he/she will still be there for you.
technically im not skipping things I don’t have to do. I dont feel the need to do them so I don’t do them. I dont go out of my way to go futher north then F/F needs me too because there is nothing up there for me to do. I dont farm, I save everything.
I dont go out of my way to go futher north then F/F needs me too because there is nothing up there for me to do.
There’s nothing up there that you want to do. I love the Northern zones.
I’m again, not sure what this thread is about though. You don’t want to do anything other than what you’ve done, so you just log in and do your dailies. I think a lot of people are at this stage.
I’m sorry you can’t find any more entertainment?
[EDIT] Just saw the change to title. Makes some sense now.
