I’ve done the map too many times and never had a success even with super organized maps with 4 tags at each boss and everything. Whether it’s elites spawning when elites shouldn’t spawn, waypoints bugging, or just bad players everywhere, it is always a waste of time.

I’ll just go farm all the first kitten map since it seems like that’s what anet wants us to do.

it’s a couple days into the expansions, of course people are going to be bad at new events…

how dare them not knowing everything after the first second they entered the map.
how dare them not noticing complicated mechanics that need a lot of teamwork
how dare them to fail at supposedly hard content.

Geez, it`s like these job interviews where they look for an 18 year old master degree and 30 year of experience…

This is the exact kind of post made when teq was first reworked. Same when tripple trouble worm first released. “Hurr durr I try 3 times just after release and fail I cri everytiem”. If it’s bugged, wait til it’s not. If people are bad, teach them, practice yourself, or wait til they’re not.

I literally completed this a few hours ago with a fairly unorganized map. It wasn’t run by a guild, it was a PUG. If you start events right away and have a lot of people, you’ll have AT LEAST an hour to do the Blighting Tree phase. This is more than enough time. Our map ended up having North and South bosses get low very quickly, so we let one of the Pods respawn to ensure the bosses weren’t accidentally killed. Mid took quite a while, but after a lot of coaching and support from the other lanes, they pulled it off and we proceeded.

The Mouth itself is probably the greatest boss fight I’ve ever played in this game. Ridiculously fun with a lot of interesting mechanics. I’d say this map is tuned perfectly. As long as people are capable of reading map chat, you should be able to at least get close.

The main issue I’ve seen is having too many people handling each Pod. This scales up the spawns in that area making it quite a bit harder to continuously hold off. For example, the Pod group I was in only had about 6 people. We were able to kill the Preserver well before he reached the pod each time and usually only had 1-2 extra mobs to deal with at a time. One of those mobs would usually be a Champion Blocker, but it was actually fairly easy.

PLEASE ANET! DO NOT NERF THIS EVENT CHAIN! It is honestly the most satisfying experience I’ve had in GW2 and I’d like it to stay satisfying.
