Double Daily Fractal
Eep. I expect you’ll get flamed for this, but some people do like it. Like my guildmaster.
I personally don’t care for it, but it does get me doing things with the guild, so it’s more of a bonus than just a few chests.
And yet, double fractal is better than babyzone event completion or boss clockwatching by a mile.

Yes, it’s so convenient for the MAJORITY of players that have no desire to set foot in Fractals….(/sarcasm)
They seriously need another daily category for Dungeons / Fractals based dailies.

You have to actually take part in content that is in the game or miss some rewards that clearly are not as important as your distaste for fractals. Oh woe is you.
Not like they are asking you to do something crazy like participate in 4 events on a random map or something.

Its all about the metrics.
Login rewards make the player numbers look good for the bosses.
Double fractals make the rather low numbers of people running them a little higher. Though probably not much as a lot of us run off to WvW on days like this, or PvP, though I don’t like perpetuating the lie that doing that does.
You already have several options to complete your daily without doing certain other parts. All 3 types lead to the “Daily completion” by just doing 3 of the 12 options. You can go to EotM and knock out some WvW dailys, or do a round of PvP. None of these things are difficult for you to do, you simply don’t want to do it, which is not their problem.

Way back when, you had things like these:
‘kill x mobs’
‘kill 10 different mobs’
‘harvest 10 items’
‘kill 1 veteran’
Etc. Not saying in which location you had to do it, not saying it had to be mob a, b or c. Basically, play how you want, where you want. I much preferred it.
Choosing not to do it is part of playing how you want to play.

It’s a subtle differentiation, one most people miss.
Fractals (and Dungeons) are group required content. It’s not that it is instanced that is the problem.
Furthermore it is scaled difficulty wise significantly differently, thus further signaling its separation from the rest of normal PvE.

Funny how the same people that claim that Fractals are normal PvE, when it comes to discussing Ascended armor, suddenly start saying that they are a side content that is purely optional. If anet’s going to keep the double fractal dailies, thus suggesting to all PvE players they should play Fractals, they should make the ascended gear to be more easily available.

How is this an arguement? Fractals are optional, just like Silverwasting, or doing dungeons or X or Y or Z bit of PvE content. It’s all optional, so it’s all side content..? I don’t get what you’re trying to say.

A while back when a double daily fractal popped up, I decided that even though not a lot of my guild was around, that I’d go and do it. I grabbed a second player and jumped in. We made it through two and a half fractals before a third player came online, and I brought him in to finish off the Thaumanova Reactor and go on to finish off Jade Maw to complete the daily double.
Now, we’re experienced fractal runners who’d rather be doing high level ones rather than level 1s, as that daily required, but I’m not someone who’s ever gone and soloed dungeon paths. We did perfectly fine duoing the fractals, there were no wipes. And yes, via shenanigans we even managed to complete the laser room in Thaumanova with just the two of us, the third player only arrived in time for Subject Six.
If you want to solo a fractal for your daily, go into a level 1 fractal until you draw Urban Battleground/Ascalon, where you get NPCs to help you, and then fight your way through. You might be surprised at how easy it is. And hey, you’ll get champ bags! Who doesn’t like champ bags?
