Double standard in patch-notes?

ArenaNet mentioned several times in the past that they won’t mention exploit-patching. In the dungeon community, we see this is more than true with all those numerous ninja-fixes. So numerous that no one could list them all.

Yet, in these patch-notes, we clearly see the following:

  • Fixed WvW queue-related exploits.

This is rather specific. It’s not like “fixed various WvW exploits”. No. With the text RubiBayer wrote, we know there were exploits with the WvW queues. If I can think a bit about it, there was probably a possibility for people to bypass queues and either make one side more advantaged than the other or people going on the WvW maps before others.

When there are the dungeon ninja patches, there is nothing written. For instance, in this very same patch, the dredge fractal was rather well fixed (well, in the ArenaNet way of seeing this, not players’). No news about it in the notes. At all!

So please stop this double-standard: either announce all exploit fixes for all parts of the game, including but not limited to dungeons, or don’t add any for any part.

In the past they used to post an update in the patch notes “fixed various server crashes”, which is carte blanche for anything they want it to be. If stuff gets ninja’d then it’s not usually mentioned. and thus the point of a ninja (in and out without a trace).

There have been numerous bugs/exploits with the WvW queue since launch. They just finally need to acknowledge/fix them now since the queue has a number attached to it.

When you enter the queue at 50 and someone at 2000 gets in before you it is pretty obvious now.

The biggest double standard is that they have always maintained that there was nothing wrong with the queues…
