Download Wars
If you leave your computer on, simply schedule a Windows Task to run daily that opens Gw2.exe an hour prior.
That is a good idea, thanks.
How bad is your internet that it takes so long to download a few hundred mb?
I don’t have the best internet but it still only takes me 5-10 minutes to get them downloaded usually.
It’s not anets fault that 1) your internet is bad and 2) that you might not have the option of getting better internet where you live.
And most updates usually are released around 11am western standard. Which is much later in the day for people in the EU, granted. Also you have to understand that Anet’s HQ is located in the western US.

Until about a month ago, because I live out in the country, I only had 3G (usually 1 or 2 bars) and sometimes no better than 2G. It typically took about an hour to download a patch. Typical download speed, 30Kbps to 70Kbps.

Ouch, you have my belated condolences.

A month ago they brought 4G in to the area. Now the download is 1 to 2 Mbps and the game isn’t lagging. Its amazing. ^^

It’s nice when life hands you a lobster instead of a crawdad. >.>
