Guild Wars 2

so i haven’t played gw2 in about 3 days then when i log on my game client is downloading over 5500 files, and i cant play till it finishes. Did they add a patch that big because i got gw2 the day it came out and had it all installed that same day so why am i downloading the whole game again

Yes, a patch was deployed yesterday. Its quite big, you can see the changes here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates/2013-01-28.
