Downscale Toxic Offshoots plz
Group events are group events for a reason they are meant to be done in groups. Yes I see the frustration with everyone now just ignoring them but it doesn’t mean they should be made into a solo friendly event. It’s like all the champions no one ever goes after. They aren’t going to be made easier so 1 player can kill them.
At this point since the storyline of the “Toxic Alliance” is over with these events need to be taken out of the game.
While group events are group events for a reason, most group events in low level zones have at most a champion at the end, and more often just a bunch of veterans. These toxic alliance events come with whole swarms of elites that on their own are each stronger than equivalent level champions in standard open-world content.
By no means should they be scaled down to the point they are soloable. However I do agree that they should be scaled down to be more comperable to regular open world group events.
Couldn’t solo a Group Event, therefore they need to make it easier? Hmmmmm….

Toxic offshoots are fine with a group. The problem with them I see is that multiple ones of them seem to be bugged. Even with all 3 turret operators alive and protected, None of them attack meaning the event always fails.
I keep forgetting that no matter how easy PVE content is, there are still people that think it is too hard.
Really puts things in perspective.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.
Nearly all Champions in starter areas were demoted to Veterans, to make Starter areas easier for new players.
With that in mind, those Toxic Offshoot events, how they r now, do not belong either in starter areas.
I agree with most people here, the event is fine the way it is. But I do want to reiterate That Guy’s comment: several of the toxic offshoot event locations seem to be bugged in some way. We need some devs or whoever to take a look at them to get these fixed.
I, too, have experienced having all 3 siege engineers alive and well, but they never fire a single shot at the plant. In one instance, I’ve noticed that the event will hang on transition. It’s possible it auto corrects after some time, but after waiting 10 mins, I’ve already wasted too much time to see if it will.
Probably the most interesting bug I’ve ran into is the toxic offshoot in NE Brisban Wildlands, I was freeing the people when I got ‘downed’ and immediately one-shotted. I looked around and saw that there was a level 80 hallucination running around. Awesome…

I think really my point is that it shouldn’t be a group event anymore as groups don’t bother. Other have said many are bugged… that sucks, which MAY or may NOT be why people aren’t bothering, I don’t know.
But if we look at Risk vs Reward (and I may be wrong here), the last time i completed one of these events all you got at the end was a harvestable Toxic Spore… Which doesn’t really constitute a group event… Lets be fair.
I would like to also point out that there are quite a few “Group Events” within the game that I can (and frequently do) solo. Which you normally get a champion chest from, which far outweighs a toxic spore or 2.
god, I hate these toxic events. they’re impossible to do tried so hard when I first started the game to complete a toxic event only to get annihilated over and over again, and the siege guys never actually fire at the shoot, they just stand there until they get overwhelmed and die

Wouldn’t it be nice to have the ability to do them on your own BUT at the same time, watch them scale up as more players join in?
I agree with the OP. I was in Queensdale showing around a new player and the escort one was up. There where about 6 of us and the vigil mecha suit was dead before it got close to the area. A change in how it works would be a good thing, can still be kept as a group event.

You’re welcome to video yourself soloing one of these toxic events, with multiple elites aggroed on you, and post it. Go ahead, demonstrate how easy these events are.

the only good thing about the toxic faction was their tower and it is gone… those events are the most unrewarding things in-game probably.
You could have used the trap mentality of combat. It still exists even as a minor extension of gameplay especially in places with trees.
Throw some runes/traps down with lots of conditions, shoot one mob from behind a tree, let them come to you, bam! Let the dots do the talking.
Not saying they are easy but it is possible, I’ve done it before on a couple of toons and survived. I’m not Zerker built tho I refuse to conform, most of my toons are apothecary.
