Dragon Ball Frustration
I love dragonball.. I play it a lot and notice that most of the time the matchup is different in a new game.
- you say that you leave the game when it’s not over… well personally i hate those ppl who leave the game early.. sometimes you win, sometimes you lose… its unfair for the rest of your team because its a 5 vs 4 then, Yes most of the time a 5th person will join but important time is lost… if you start a game, then play it…
- a 2nd REALLY ANNOYING thing is afk players… they ruin the game. Easy scores for other team and a 4 vs 5 setup. Why play dragonball and go afk? You can’t farm anything there by going afk??
The last 6 games I’ve played ended up with 4 close matches (outcome decided in the last 20 seconds) and 2 initially lopsided (started as 120:10 or close to it). That’s about what I’d expect for PUG among casual PvPers. I’m guessing some people take a look at the match before it starts and leave, looking for people they know (I can recognize some of the better players & I’m not really paying attention).
I’m not sure there’s any amount of tinkering that ANet could do that would improve things a lot. Increasing the rewards for participation (i.e. for losing) would just encourage people to AFK instead of F12-to-find-winning team.
Accordingly, I only start a game if I’m prepared to have fun win-or-lose. (So last year: I never bothered; this year, I gave it a try since I’m AP-starved and I’m actually enjoying 1-3 games/day.)
Your mileage will vary.
I have mixed feelings on it- I’m only there for the achievements- Game has the potential to be fun but often the feeling is Wolfs among the sheep- Now that my daily is done- zero desire draws me back to it- Too each there own but if you need the points …. you’ll have to endure the broken part of to get them.
Side Note- Who ever bright Idea to let the Health one Hide behind 8888. I hope you catch a VD and be with out relief of medicine.
Till then… Hang in there OP

This is why avoid all the pvp games like the plague. Why not simply add “karma” to the games (for lack of a better word)? You leave early, you get bad karma, get too much and you are no longer allowed to play until your bad karma resets.
AFK? don’t move or use a skill for x number of seconds, your kicked and get bad karma as well. That could prevent AFKers in a lot of events as well.
I think it’s alright when it finally works. Sometimes I don’t mind losing as it’s just faster towards the daily. :p
I find that in most cases you can increase your chances of winning by simply tailing any of your teammates closely. This includes waiting for them to respawn. Against disorganized crowds, it’s not too hard to make something into a 2v1 and you can always lay low and try to find those health things when you get too low.
The additional advantage is that if another of your teammate sees you together, chances they will also be inclined to follow and that alone should be enough to put up a decent struggle.
Getting a good skill 2 off can single handedly carry a game too. Better work on that ground targeting.
Also stop firing into that reflecting wind thingy.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
I like playing games of dragon ball because it reminds me of old school FPS games, it’s rather refreshing in that regard! During the week there are far less people to play, but during the weekends it’s much more fun to play. More players = more players of variable skill levels, it’s still random but at least there is a better chance of getting into a better game.
The trick in winning is forming a blob and moving together. The team that forms the best blob, that stays together and hit the same target, will win.
There is one more fact you should consider. If team B from your example is loosing and players are dropping out, switching sides gives an automatic win. It was implemented this year. So if a player switches teams and then leaves, he is giving up a free win. I can’t understand why you would do something like this, probably it is just not known jet by most players.
