We can only hope. The sole reason I do not buy costumes anymore is because they take up too much room in my bank. If there were a costume maker, I would probably own almost every outfit released thus far (sans Flame and Frost stuff, I missed all that unfortunately)

How cool would it be if the last firework show in LA was crashed by a real dragon, kicking off a dynamic event against the dragon and his minions in the city.

Awesome I’d much rather have this than a new permanent dungeon or fixed traits and tooltips or PvE class balance or better pet AI or or or.

On the plus side an update this large will probably break quite a few more things with salvaging or profession skills, etc. It’s like an easter egg hunt every patch!

Is the helm considered armor or town clothes? (from the picture on the Massively article, it looks like its actual armor)

That was something thrown together from way WAY back in GW1, after the Elona expansion was released. One of my favorites. It seemed to impress Anet as well… they created a Grawl ritualist boss named “Fozzy Yeoryios”. Tough boss, and I wanted to hang out with him instead of fight.

Love the dragon wings, but a super cute dragon backpack would have been amazing.

Edit: Also reminds me of Whacking Day from The Simpsons.

Simple, people keep buying the lottery items a LOT. For every complain on the forum they see players buying them on the tenths or even hundreds, so from their point of view, there’s an audience that must love these kind of things, and it’s an audience that spends lots of money on the gem store.

Well I know this is terrible, but I wish they’d stop. Because I would prefer a whole lot less RNG in my game.

Did you read the thread? The coffers are obtainable through dragon events! You don’t even have to spend money to have a chance at getting a ticket. Calm down.

well, im not really… It looks awesome yea, but its temporaraly and its just some mini games that will dissapear. i am sur its like crabtoss, we love it for 1 day, then it becomes boring

Im actually a fan. This looks like great summer fun. Not keen on more RNG stuff. And it would be nice to see more solo dungeons like Canach(albeit, longer dungeon please!) But overall, good stuff.

Just hate that a lot of the stuff that comes out month to month is temporary. The experience is temporary. The items are only temporarily available and if you miss them, you miss them. Need more permanancy. I like seeing the world actually evolving overtime and staying that way, rather than seeing all of this neat stuff disappear.

Can you clarify: “Betting game?” Meaning, people can place bets on other people racing? I wasnt around for GW1 so I do not understand.

Second, I think I suggested this at least once, many months ago(maybe even in 2012) comparing it to the Chocobo races in Final Fantasy 7 Nice to see it come to fruition! For my fantastic suggestion, any chance to up my precursor chances a smidge? Eh Eh? :p.

as long as ppl farm those rng events this is how it will be. i got myself achievement backpieces ankitten ever setting foot in southsun again… why would i?

as of someone me who has probably spent well over 1000 us dollars on GW2 in gems, I must say that the RNG concept with some .0001% chance at getting a cosmetic item is starting to take its toll on me. I will enjoy the art and what have you for the team that made it and continue playing awhile longer, but honestly, this Las Vegas style game is starting to become frustrating in this regard. How come achievements cant bring us special tickets to buy what we want, anything we want beyond that, let us gamble our life savings away. Furthermore, why more back item skins and incomplete lists of weapon skins, why not offer up some new armor skins as well, and not just town wear fluff. Also, since its a festival, put an increased chance at a precursor, they are very time consuming to turn to legendaries anyways and it would give more incentives to continue supporting GW2 to many.

take my words for what they are, an opinion. its not a cry or whine post in context, more of a realization hit in hopes that eventually loyal consumers might actually be realistically rewarded for our continual support of GW2 Casinos.

The event looks quite fun, I’m very interested in the new mini-game which I hope will be more fun than Crab Toss (it doesn’t have any karka in sight so it is already intrinsically better). The moa racing also seems like it will be fun and it looks like there are things for players of all types to enjoy, which should be the point of these events.

I’m still a little sore over NCsoft forcefully removing Canthan themes and strongly advocate it’s eventual return, but that video was…..adorable. That song was really cute.

If the Dragon Bash festival is the Tyrian successor to the Canthan Dragon festival, then I’m all for it. I love that there will be fireworks, a hat and a really, really awesome back piece based off of the Shatterer’s wings. The other back items are fun, but this is by far my absolute favorite. In other words: DO WANT.

My only concern is with the drop rates for the Dragon Coffers, though I presume those will also be available in the cash shop. Those Jade weapon skins sound like a must have.

As always the decorations look incredible.

Moa racing looks like it’ll be fun, though I agree it’ll be hard to replace rollerbeetle racing. Still I’m glad we’ll finally be able to use that track in Lion’s arch. Those helmets they’re wearing look so funny!

While I am welcoming the festivities starting this month, Nuke Cola has a point.

We get very short lived temporary content and stories that disappear..dungeons that disappear. All he wants is some meaningful difficult content that will not dissappear. A southsun dungeon, a permanent dungeon maybe. Or some new zone with a new dungeon, or some other type of content. What he wants, and all of this is my speculation because I can understand his frustrating, is REAL stuff that impacts the game and isnt temporary fluff.

I get it(at least I think I do). And I agree. But this stuff will be fun too.

My exams end on 26th. Usually they last until July, but thankfully we didn’t loose many days of lessons this year to holidays and other stuff.
My University is a tough one and since I still live with my parents (and they still control parts of my life) I can’t play any video games until my exams are over!
I’ve already missed the entire Southsun and Last Stand patches, and apparently I’ll miss most of this one as well!

Based on the axe and shield we’ve seen I’m betting the pistol (if we even get one, there wasn’t one with the Super Adventure Box. And yes I am going to keep complaining about that) will be green crystal, some bronze, and a dragon design. Thief weapon at best.
