I think there is a mistake with this achievement, while the Dragon’s Shadow and Dragon’s Breath achievement has a decent number needed to complete them (5) well, this Dragon’s Gaze achievement needs 100 intrerupts to complete it.
Considering the fact that only with one skill can intrerupt (skill nr. 4) and has a 15 seconds recharge time and you lose the skill after death, this number 100 is a little bit exaggerated in my opinio or maybe it was just a mistake and it suppose to be 5 as well

I also agree that this is too much, not to mention the fact that you HAVE to hit an interrupt, just daze won’t count.

I made a decision that I will do 10 interrupts a day (done for today) till I get 100.
Now I just got in the game, wait for that buff and chase people around giving them a free kill just as long as I can interrupt them once. Usually I fail cause the animations are just slow, but yeah I get eventually 10 for my ‘daily’.

Sorry I’m ruining the game for the rest of my team for giving free kills for the enemy but thank the achievement

For me, yes. I wanna get the achievement cause I like to collect them. And the fastest way to do it is by the method I am currently doing.

Not by playing it normally, having fun and doing it to win a match.

How does one interrupted them in the first place as I only got 1 by pure luck alone!

I know it’s the dragon kick but is it only when the other player cast the shield can you interrupt them or does interrupt their trap count aswell?

Also add to the equation that the pickup for the skill respawns slowly and other people will keep grabbing them, and the range is short, and it’s kinda laggy.

Overall, not a fun achiev. It’s interesting ‘cause the special pickup ones aren’t particularly hard (at least not for me, maybe I just got lucky) but they’re set so low. This one’s legitimately hard and it’s set so high. I get that it’s meant to be an actual achievment, but as you said it distracts from the actual game as it’s not something you’ll just get as you play, at least not in the limited time it’s available, especially with how useless the skill is when you get down to it and how much timing is needed to interupt your target.

The health pickup achiev is the most well-balance achiev as it’s easy enough to get them, but it’s set high enough that you have to keep at it, and is actually something that you WILL get as you keep playing normally.

He’s not intentionally losing games, but merely poiniting out that the most efficient way to obtain the achievement makes for poor teamwork and thus is not conducive to that team’s victory.

But remember, these are the same devs that made the Assault on the Breachmaker. Anyone remember that? Where the best way to get the “only use the right color attunement” achievement was to tag the boss, then huddle in a corner?

Or Escape from Lion’s Arch, where there was a map wide meta-event for saving civilians, but the best rewards for an individual were obtained by ignoring the civilians and farming events?

Or Silverwastes, where half the map is laboriously pushing the meta-events while the other half just run around with shovels and keys until the “big” events (Breach/Vinewrath) pop and suddenly then they’re interested in events?

Or, or, or, or, or….

Yeah, the point is that Anet has always had a real knack for designing content where what’s best for the group and what’s best for the individual are diametrically opposed.

Seriously, this achievment is terrible. I originally thought that it was a decent update with just one bad thing, but honestly, this ‘one bad thing’ is actually what ruined the entire update. For people like me who like to collect achiements and/or complete temporary content before it goes away, this is just a week’s worth of stress and rage waiting to happen.

most festival achievements have been that way, though. I wasn’t happy when I finally maxed out Lunatic Inquisition. I wasn’t happy when I finally maxed out Snowball Mayhem/Toypocolypse/Choir/Wonderland when they purposely reduced the amount of AP you got per completion.

I guess I’m thankful that it isn’t 50AP for Dragon Ball Champion total @3AP per completion, because I’m sure someone there had that brilliant idea.

What anet do : “more grind”

This achievement is ridiculous right now, imo reduce to 10 rupt or change to 100 daze (and not only rupt) but i really doubt they will modify it (even a change is really easy to make)

So basically, over the next 2 weeks, players are supposed to put in 20 hours in Dragon Ball to get this? Or, want to play Dragon Ball for about 1.5 hrs per day, even? Considering how nausea and rage inducing Dragon Ball can be, I think that’s a bit much to ask for 5 AP.

Balderdash

There is no expert timing involved. The kick takes longer to cast than the basic auto attack so getting an interrupt to land is a total crapshoot. You can be in the right spot and hit kick at the right time, but if the enemy stops firing or moves, you go on 15 seconds timer.

Then there are Z axis issues with the kick not hitting if there is any kind of elevation difference.

A lot of us are complaining because we know some achiever types will game this one like keg brawl with their buddies even while it is out of reach for normal players. Already I’ve run into the guy who is using his Afk second account to make sure that his main character not only wins every time but also auto balances to the winning team.

This isn’t about designed grind. The health achieve is intuitive even if it is grindy.
