Dragon's Stand Map Reservation Needs Fixed
Agree that it should reserve a spot for a few minutes but for now setting the graphics on lowest possible worked perfectly for me.
Even if Anet were to address your issue, which they aren’t likely to, it could take a long time. In the meantime:
- I was having a DC problem during the burn phases of the Tequatl event. I made one change to graphics settings, selecting Character Model Quality medium, and have not DC’d in similar circumstances since. There are a lot of characters at these meta events.
- I also found that my estimates of how quickly a computer interior can accumulate dust was too low, especially in the dusty season. Overheating is not your friend.
If neither of those fixes your issue, look at other graphics settings, especially those that say “lower settings may improve performance.”
Good luck.
Thank you for the advice. We made another attempt after dinner and finally managed to get the tiger.
I still hope they fix the issue soon though. My first time doing the event was with 3 of my friends. We were having a great time until two of them crashed and couldn’t rejoin. It kinda killed the excitement of battle we had been looking forward to.
That isn’t true, just today I disconnected and got right back in. I get the fatal error when using the mortar. But whenever I do I can either get back in immediately, or I spam for a little.
Restore that which was lost. And all shall be as one.”
There’s also the disconnect post-win. Client crashed last night as i was walking to the chest. Relogging dumped me into an empty pre-event Dragon’s Stand without chest, without noxious nodes, without ranger pets, and it wouldn’t allow me to join up my party members due to a “Network error: please check your internet connection”. Yeah, blame my ISP now…
Save the Bell Choir activity!
been on the 64 bit client on a PC with far over the recommended specs for HoT and STILL Dc’ing at the end of this very long event with no hope of accessing the merchants otherwise. My gf has a top of the line custom PC and the 64 bit client and the same issue. She dc’d four times at the mouth fight and won’t even try the meta again anymore until she’s sure it’s fixed.
Edit: Yes, I’m sure I want to bump this old topic. Because it’s still very relevant to not just me, but many members of my guild and other players in general.
same here getting a bit kittened about this dcs. It’s all good that they made the crashes less frequent BUT at least you should be able to join back at the MAP you dcd from
… as if that is way too hard…
Hiding the new pets behind massive meta events was another fail move by Anet too…
