I’m not a veteran player but it seems like there aren’t very many options to farm dragonite ore, only world bosses. At least the other ascended mats drop from loot bags >.<

Temples in Orr give dragonite too, but yes, different ascended mats come from playing different content.

World bosses, Edge of the Mist and now Dry Top.

You can obtain it from World Bosses, Castle and Keep Lords, some Guild Missions, and PvP Reward Tracks, I believe. At least, that is what the wiki lists.

Orr temples give you 30 per event. its the best way to do it. unfortunately it isnt as easy to tell when the event spawns, or go to a different instance to see if its up there. yea mega server

Are you kidding me? I have to delete some of mine with how many stacks I get. It’s not hard, do world bosses/temples/Teq/Triple Trouble and you get all you will ever need.

Yes, you can get it in EotM, or WvW for that matter. You get it from keep lords.

Doing world bosses I’ve had more than I think I could ever use, that and bloodstone. Just spend an hour or so doing boss runs a day and you’ll collect quite a bit quickly. Dulfy’s event timer even lists how much dragonite each boss gives.

Dry top farming is the fastest way now.

I also get pretty much all I need by running the world boss train maybe a three or four times per week. On the other hand, I am pretty patient when crafting ascended gear so I am never in really big hurry.

WWW is the best way to get them.
The megaserver affected PVE dragonite farming too much, something should be done.

Trust me, soon you will be throwing that stuff away.

PvP regional reward tracks grant a lot, I have over 30 ignots of dragonite ore just from playing PvP.

Dry Top is VERY good for dragonite atm.

Opening the chests during the sandstorm gives out dragonite or empyreal fragments.

Go farm buried chests during the sandstorm in Dry Top, you’ll get plenty of Dragonite. Or go do world bosses/wvw/eotm, and you’ll get plenty as well. Dragonite doesn’t need to be increased. Some of us have way too much of it as it is.

World bosses. I get online, do Jormag, behe, karka, teq, maw, etc etc. Probably get close to 100 ore per day which is fine for me.

I’ve yet to find an uncontested temple since Megaservers. I used to farm them for my Dragonite Ore but now I have to do it in EotM.

Buried Chests in Dry Top give these (as do the story missions). I got 20 Dragonite in a chest this morning…..

You can find temples but you almost have to just stay in Orr to do it.

You can’t trust the global map because it’s never accurate. One of the best ways is if you can park some extra level 80s at various temples – sometimes when you find an event in progress, you might not have time to run to it – having someone parked there can save time and get you that last second cap.

Also, the temples flip 2 hours after they are cleansed so if you’re online for a while and you cleanse one, keep track.
