Please give us the option to turn off Legendary weapon sounds or weapon sounds in general. The Dreamer gets really old listening to it for hrs upon hrs. Only option we have is turning off all sounds

I agree and have been complaining through the support option. Please for the love of your players and their sanity, either let us disable it or make it toned down. It is extremely annoying and after 10 minutes straight of listening to it during Tequatl, I want to quit guild wars until its updated.

I love the dreamer sound. Please keep it. It’s the perfect combo with the rainbow unicorn finisher.

Thanks for reminding me to work towards crafting The Dreamer.

Mini’s also please! Or at the very least when we block someone it also prevents us from hearing the annoying noises they intentionally make to bother others.

Agree.

Everything about GW2 is nice, till Dreamer’s sounds appear. While you are at it, hey why not make a new legendary with sheep, tiger, cat, dog, sounds as well?

The horse sound ISHHH annoying as hell!

I really want a pair of sheep daggers.

Not like daggers with sheep on them. Just sheep. With handles and appropriate sound effects.

This is the best idea.

I love the sound. If they added coconut clapping sound hoof stomps while I ran, I would be so happy.

Bolts buzzing sound gets annoying after a while as well. I guess that is just the price we pay for “unique”.

I love the sound more after they changed it. That’s the reason I made the Dreamer in the first place, now they made the reason even stronger than before.

GW1 was full of this mess, you would think that after a decade ANet would have learned the value of putting player options in for this sort of stuff.

There should be an option for these noises…
Although, I have Quip and it’s pretty funny annoying people with my Quip noises.
Then I just shoot flowers and confetti in their faces.

One of our guildmates has Dreamer, annoying our guild leader during wvw events with it is his favorite thing in the game. I have to turn off all sounds myself as can’t stand that thing.

Would be nice if the sound didn’t fire during EACH auto attack. Perhaps when unsheathing or very rarely.
I do love the new graphics effects though. Very well done!

I prefer the old Dreamer sound a by a huge margin. The unicorn shout is to high pitched soundwave, to not annoy me after a while. Though honestly I rather have the current one then no tone.

But for me:

Old sound: 10/10
New sound 3/10
No sound -1/10 (You make a legendary for it’s cool effects, kill one and you kill the legendary).

Legendary weapons can be hidden now!
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.

The design is cute ’n all, but that audio needs to die.

It would be great if the mini and legendary sound effects were moved to the Musical Instrument slider; then everyone can be happy.

A simple player sound effect slider would do the trick. Like we did with Instruments.

I hate the sound, but I don’t want it removed. What I want is a sound option that I can turn all the way down to disable the sound without having to turn off all special effects sounds and ruin my nominal gaming experience. Call it “Player-Based Sound Effects” or something and have it include the Hero-Tron backpack too.

It might be my imagination, or I might just be getting used to it, but I think they’ve changed it again recently. Last time I was playing with the sound on it seemed slightly slower and less frequent, more like it did before the September update which changed it.

But the option is there….

If it’s really as bad as you say then:
Menu>Settings>Sounds>Mute everything.

By the way, if there’s an option to remove legendary sounds, i want to be able to remove the looks as well! I can’t see a thing with few people with legendary GSes near me….
Now that I think about it… it should be off by default…..

It would be nice to have maybe a custom sound setting for Weapons, period. Maybe a choice of sounds and a volume slider? The more personalizing options we have, the more we can enjoy the game.

Pretty much this. Otherwise I’ll have to always spam Dreamer users in the open world with requests to go away and never come back ever.
