I’m curious if anyone knows the drop rate of the 4th item in the black lion chests?
I was quite keen to get the “Feathera of the Zephyr” glider but it looks like my luck is horrible.

I was given (and had a few from mapping) 35-40 keys in the past 2 weeks and not one 4th item dropped.

I don’t really buy keys so I have no clue but all my guildies say they get them one in 5-10 keys.

So does anyone know the drop rate?

Even once a drop rate is established, it doesn’t mean your drops will adhere to it. You could get 0 out of 40 drops; you could get 40 out of 40 drops.

It’s just luck..also known as RNG.

The drop rate for the 4th item is something like 5%. Absolutely a ripoff.

Drop rate is slim to none, closer to none.

I read that as the “Fedora of the Zephyr” for some reason.

That’s unfortunate, I had it drop a minimum of 4 times with the ten keys (read 13 since the 3 dupes were returned as keys) I got from the PoF starter pack.

RNG is RNG, there is no way to know for certain.

The rate of the extra drop appears to be 12.5%, give or take.

Patron, a long-time, reliable publisher of drop rate data, opened over 500 chests during BETA. (So that might not be the true rate, although I doubt ANet monkeyed with it — it’s not a new item.)

I got that Bird of Dwayna, but not what I really want, that glider.

Yeah, I got the stupid bird out of the 15+ keys invested so far.

Weekly key run on my alt account: Bam, gets glider.
Head, meet desk. Repeatedly.
