I opened over 400 bandit chests, and to get 0 carapace boot box. Why? I’m so tired of farming these crests.

It is considered a rare drop.
You could always buy them from the chest vendor.
You’ll need to assist the skritt versus the bandits and get the order and then buy them for 1000 bandit chests.

I got quite a lot of boots, but less so leggings, wich i still needed. It’s random wich you get, pure luck. Stack up the crests and pay 1000 of them for specific chest, if rng eludes you.

Well, not entirely. Bandit chests only drop gloves and boots. You can replay the story on additional characters to get more shoulders, leggings, and heads. And of course you gotta play the Vinewrath rng for the chest.

Taking a look at the wiki page for the lost chests they do not drop legs or shoulders.

To confirm, the leggings are only available for purchase and personal story.

Interesting, does the personal story provide two leggins? Cause i was at 2/3 leggins, before i started to farm SW hard to get rest of pieces. Coat i know only drops from Vinewrath chest.

The Personal story will reward you if you do it on a different character. I’ve not personally done this yet.

I also had no luck getting one from the chests. I didn’t open as many as you have, but I still opened a fair few. So, I farmed the 1000 bandit crests to just buy my last boot box, since it was the second-to-last thing I needed to finish the whole luminescent collection. The next day, I got a boot box. RNG has a quirky sense of humor.

I got quite a few boot chests, but form my experience, they don’t actually come form opening the chests themselves, but rather as an additional drop when u collect the bandit chests from the ground. At least i seem to remember seeing them on my side screen with some other stuff like dust and the boot chest always seem to be in my bags b4 i even opened the chests.
But like others have said, you can always buy them for 1k crests after you acquire the buy order form skritt event. I got my order first time i did that event. As for the coat, that’s another story lol. Done the vinewrath quite a few times now, but no coat.

I got 4 from about 60 chests in a run the other day. I already had all 3 tho.

I’ve probably had about 10 in total.

And I doubt if I have opened more than 1000 chests in total

RNG is RNG.

I gave up on Bandit Chests after using 3 stacks of keys. Don’t get me wrong, I got piles of other wonderful loot from them so it wasn’t a total loss. Just not any Carapace Armor. Some people find lots, others find none. It is the way GW2 works I’m afraid.

If you don’t want to play a game a chance, stop buying the keys, save up your crests, and simply buy the boxes from the vendor.

The exact same thing happened to me. I even joked about it happening beforehand.
