Dual Accounts running simultaneously
Hey i I was wondering what Anets stance is on this?
i have a second account that used to be my brothers (he doesn’t use it anymore) and was wondering if there is a way (or if you guys even allow it) to have 2 instances of guild wars 2 running at the same time (other than having 2 computers) i remember Guild wars 1 had a program called gwx2 i think it was called.
is there something like that for guild wars 2?
First, it is against the ToS to use your brother’s account. Multi-boxing, however, is not. Good luck.
It’s allowed only if you play on both actively and don’t macro, etc…You know what I mean…just use your common sense.. I even tried it myself, ….but it took to much effort to play on both smoothly. So meh..
GW1 multiboxing was way easier, you’ll see.

Don’t worry, he gave you that account. Anyways, there’s no way to enforce such trivial things. I don’t see why anet would prevent two different accounts from being used at once, doesn’t make any sense. IP addressing could be a problem though…but maybe not.

Regardless of whether or not multi-boxing is okay, you should not be using any accounts other than the ones that you have purchased ( or have been purchased ) for your own personal use.
