So I’ve been looking into dual clients on one computer but having trouble figuring out how to do it. I asked a GM if 3rd party programs that allow multiple clients is allowed and was warned to not to use these programs, so does anyone know if there is a way to dual client on one PC without a 3rd party program?

They have to give you that answer because they don’t want to take responsibility for you downloading a virus or breaking your account, etc.

There is no way to run multiple clients without the use of some sort of tool. You can either virtualize Gw2.exe or simply kill GW2’s mutex handle, which is what prevents multiple instances from being opened. With the handle killed, you can simply use Gw2.exe -sharearchive to start multiple clients. If you don’t want to use an automated tool to do it for you, download Process Explorer from Microsoft to find the mutex (AN-Mutex-Window-Guild Wars 2) and kill it.
