Just what the subject line says.

I have a level 80 Charr Thief and she’s not auto-attacking anymore. She used to, when I was main handing a sword, but now I have to continually hit the 1 key to keep her attacking.

Is this normal?
If not, how do I fix it?

You probably turned off auto-attack. Hover over the 1 skill with the mouse. It probably will say something like ctrl-mouse 2 to enable autoattack. Do that.

I’ll try that when I log in today. I had no idea that it could be turned off. If that’s the issue, I hit something wrong at some point, lol.

You can set any of your skills to be your auto-use skill. By default it is your #1 attack skill, but for example, on my Ranger I set my Frost Spirit as my auto skill so that I don’t have to think about summoning it. I’m already used to mashing 1 from playing Aion, so I don’t get much use out of #1 as my auto attack.

Sometimes I do find my thief acting that way too, and I think it cause by the odd targeting sometimes, like somehow i tarted something she not attacking and it will case auto attack to not work.

Side note: Also useful for items you pick up in the world to use, like the gun for P1 of Claw. Once you pick up the gun, you can ctrl-right click ability 1 so you don’t have to keep pressing it.
