I know there probably aren’t too many people that would have experience with this, but I currently have Bolt on my mesmer and I’m considering going for a second one, but I’m concerned there will be no difference in my character aside from just having another sword that looks like bolt. So the question is, will I get added affects and more lightning animations from having a second bolt? I already know that there won’t be more footsteps as it always goes with whatever is in your mainhand, but the extra lightning and sound procs/animations would be enough to justify getting a second one.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I thought it made the “glow” brighter? Is this not true? I’ve been told so by people DW the pistols.

It’s my understanding that if you dual wield legendaries you get the particle effect, foot prints and/or aura of the main hand weapon only.

Even if that were true (I don’t know if it is) but Bolt doesn’t get the Aura in the offhand anyway, so there would be no extra electric regardless.

I don’t know if they really expected folks to have many multiples of Legendary weapons, but this seems pretty short sighted considering what they HAVE taken the time to add to legendaries. Maybe we’ll see more when they add more legendaries.

The spectral looking swords (blue glowies) seem to match with Bolt if you are hard set on a dual sword build. Or you can go with something that looks shorter like a parrying sword/dagger since we’re not specifically “dual wielding” like… pretty much every other game’s idea of dual wielding.

or drop the sword and go for a GS shatter build instead, its better and gives lots of stealth and mobility, it isnt obvious like the over used osicat shatter, Uses GS and Sw/T

pretty sure the guy just sticks cat on other peoples builds xD
