Guild Wars 2

So I lvl’ed a guardian to lvl 80 fully equiped with exotics or so i thought.Been doin some easy dungeons with this guardian for a few days now.Then one day I freaken notice I had been using low lvl green trinkets this entire time not a big deal but still.In my head I was like WTF!!??Did I seriously not notice this.I opened the Hero panel so many times and I can’t believe I didn’t not notice it.I don’t play my guardian much but still can’t believe I didn’t notice this sooner.

Please tell me some of you folks had some dumb moments to in GW 2.I need to make myself feel better knowing it wasn’t just me LOL.

Waaaaaaay back in October I hadn’t realized there were yellow rares, and dark yellow exotics. So I definitely thought I was nearly fully geared and showed my GM some piece of gear to see the skin. Soon we realized my whole set was rare. The guild had a good laugh at that.

Not really along the same lines, but we just ran HotW with the guild. We’re on the last boss and someone in the party went down.

So a couple of us run over to try to rez him and while I’m rezzing him one of the guys, a norn, slips out of rez and starts smashing him with his mace.

It was one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. I’m like, oh, look, this must be how norn’s rez people

He’s not responding. Get me the big hammer.

We all started laughing about it, making jokes about it, until I was laughing so hard, I could barely fight.

I was skirmishing a guy by a camp in WvW…
Push guy off cliff…he dies.
I jump down to collect bag…die.

Oh but it doesn’t end there…

Run back to same camp and capture it…
Get jumped by thief soon after…
Quickly use Lightning reflexes and PBS to knock him off ledge in one swift movement…
He falls of ledge and dies…
I follow to get bag…again..I die.

I have a few. Most of them, naturally follow: “Guys, I got this…”

Others usually are preceded half a second by “Oh crap Tobias isn’t on TS he didn’t hear us tell him to wait before pulling.”

I missed most of this being prettewy dtrunk, sio, I think my replky is along the the linres of DUH WHAT.

I switch my gear around a lot on my toons. I alternate from zerker gear to condi gear, and stuff like that.

You won’t believe how many times I forget to swap the trinkets or the armor or something like that when changing builds. I"ll be all like “Hey.. .shouldn’t I be doing more damage than this?” only to find out I’m still wearing rabid tirnkets.

The last major “doh” moment I had was in Southsun Survival. I had 9 Rations so I was heading out to a remote corner of the island to wait things out. After getting a bit bored, I decided to swim out around the western side of the island to see whether I could get to Owain’s Refuge.

When my health dropped to 150, I decided to eat a Ration… and then suddenly realised that I couldn’t eat while swimming. I desperately tried to swim back to shore in time… But didn’t make it. 8 rations wasted. XD

That’s ok, I play condition builds so much that when I went to switch to Zerker build, I forgot to put on all my new armor and stuff… Played for a week believing my char was the weakest zerk out there. /facepalm Wasn’t till after I re-trained for Condition that I realized I never changed armor/trinkets.

Back in the days of yore, my friends and I used to run the Kol chain a lot. You might know that part where the wall crumbles so you can get through. Well, said friends told me that the “door” needed to be opened by a guardian. Hook, line, and sinker. For weeks, every time we did that event chain, I would dutifully run up to the wall and start hacking away at what was effectively thin air, until they finally put me out of my misery…

A while ago, after some major trait changing patch, I was doing the Aetherblade dungeon on my Warrior and I was dealing so little damage, I was truly perplexed and ashamed. It was only after the dungeon I noticed all my trait points were reset. facepalm

yeah… that happened.

Levelling a character from 60 to 80 and forgetting to use the trait points which were reset when I read the training manual. I have done that a couple of times now.

Southsun Survival – I sniped someone right next to the cliff, they had like 9 arrows and 10 rations and were one of those players. So I ran over to grab the stuff, pressed F and… the pickup bug still exists, 1 year later.

With the last Southsun Cove LS. Getting upscaled to play there.
Was having fun with an upscaled lvl60 char.

At the day that ended, right after the update patch.
I loaded that lvl60 char that was still there, to farm a bit.
Pretty much got 2-shotted to death a few times.
Was like WTF ?!
Finally it dawned on me i was not upscaled anymore.

The redneck says, “Hey y’all, watch this….”

It never ends well.

More than once I loged in finding my self without 1 or 2 exotic wapons, now I check the “buy back” option before log off :P

I am a level 80 Elementalist… so I was wondering why I wasn’t able to do crap underwater (mostly because I don’t do it often) and thought maybe I was just not traited correctly…

Then one of my guildies asked to see my trident…when I linked it to him it was still level 30-ish…I had fought underwater so little that I never thought to upgrade it.

I saw someone playing Southsun survival the other day who managed to forget to turn his commander tag off. I thought that was pretty entertaining.j lol

It took me until January to realize that i can slot utility skills under water as well.

I did that once. Not because of reading a training manual but because of the trait changes for the necromancer. All traits were reset by ANet. So, I went into the Ascalon dungeon. And couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t ground target my wells anymore…

Maybe you should invest in an invisible bag… They’re not that expensive and can save a lot of trouble

I also done the following things :

1. I bought the 2g manual for retrain my skills, yes it doesn’t work lol :P

2. I bought 800 gems to buy experience scrolls only to find out I could not use them for power lvl with crafting.

3. Sometime I try to escape the enemy zerg by entering the wrong tower/keep/garrison/sm, usually I realize it’s not ours only when I open the map to tp back.

4. I also forgot to equipe spectral walk before jumping off the Cliff.

Wow….just wow I thought we only have skils #1-6 underwater. /facepalm. I didnt even know we could put more skills underwater.Logged in right into GW 2 after reading this.I feel like a complete idiot for not knowing this to.Wonder what else I dont know that I should be knowing in GW 2 LOL.

Turning on map chat is LA during peak hours…. its just asking for issues….

I’ve been vendoring all the trakittenems I pickup for 3 or 5 copper a piece. Just noticed that people are buying them off the market at 40-60 copper. No wonder I can’t seem to make any money.

buying black lion keys not just for one event (to try and get a weapon skin), but for 2 more following that…dumbest thing i’ve ever spent money on and never got anything out of.

Sold not 1, not 2, but 3 pieces of my T3 cultural to a vendor and didn’t notice until the day after. Chest, legs and helm all gone.

I was a single vista in green EB keep away from world completion, and couldn’t remember the last time our server had been green, and jq showed no signs of not being green anytime soon. Saved up around 70 gold to transfer to HoD and back. Our server dominated the week I was gone, took all of EB, and when I got back, we were green. 70 gold down the kitten toilet.
