Why aren’t they?

Why aren’t fractals drops character bound?

Why aren’t all drops character bound?

Why is one of your characters allowed to collect stuff that you can use on other toons?

Why are you allowed a warehouse and why is there a TP?

Because it’s fun to play on more than one toon, and be able to farm stuff more effectively on certain classes than others.

So WHY are Anet making wvw titles CHARACTER bound? (Not the little new skills, those should be character bound, I mean the titles).

If you take this new thinking ’it’s more challenging to level up a title on one toon then have to do it all over on the next’ then why didn’t you apply this to pve content as well? Want that dungeon set, then complete the dungeon multiple times on your engineer or whatever you want it for. Repeat for each toon you have.

Because people would quit in droves, that’s why, as it’s obvious it would be a completely stupid idea that pigeonholes people into playing just one class (and pretty much one build).

But apparently because it’s wvw then it’s OK….

Because character bound = grind and grind = longevity in an mmo.

I am not sure it is bad to have at least some titles that indicate proficiency in a particular class. I would also wait to see the actual titles. For example, “Realm Defender” or “Ultimate Chaperone” is a title that would make sense account-wide. On the other hand “Battle Magician” or “Invaders’ Stalker” are not appropriate for a warrior toon. I realise the example is extreme and the imaginary titles are not very inspiring, but there could be profession specific or even race specific titles that would by nature need to be character bound. Or titles related to the skills that are character bound.

PS: Fractal reward lvls are character bound (and thus your ability to start a specific lvl instance), even though the items from fractals are not. I also think the ability to enter explorable dungeons after having done their story mode is account bound, but I am not 100% sure. Both of those relate to what that particular character has done.
