Anet, can we get the dungeon armor and weapons merchant to also let us convert our unwanted dungeon tokens into something useful? I have a small number of tokens from each of the dungeons and would love to be able to swap them all so i have enough of just one kind to actually buy a skin or something.

I would prefer a second PvE source of dungeon tokens at a much lower gain per time invested. This way you can still get dungeon gear but you won’t be acquiring it as fast as a group that runs the actual dungeon.

There are items for 1 token. Which can be sold on TP or to merchant. So they kind of already have.

I don’t want to be able to trade one kind of dungeon token for another dungeon’s token – that kind of ruins the point of having multiple dungeon tokens, and people would just do the PvP track or dungeon paths which are easiest to get the harder dungeons’ gear.

That said, ArenaNet, please add in dungeon-specific backpiece, aquabreather, outfit, and glider skins. With the backpiece able to be made ascended and then infused.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

Better would it be just to revive Dungeons with a proper update which gives them again good reasons for why you want to play them continously.

Rework completely their Reward System. This is basicalyl what I personally would love to see for example for the Ascalonian Catacombs to become their Reward List for what you can turn in the currency of that Dungeon:

Tab 1: Recipes
- Recipe: Extended Potion of Ghost Slaying
- Recipe: Ghostly Tonic
- Recipe: Offering of Ascalon
- Recipe: Gift of Ascalon
- Recipe: Buff Food 1 that lets killed Creatures in the Dungeon drop per Chance Tokens
- Recipe: Buff Food 2 …
- Recipe: Buff Food 3 …
- Recipe: Buff Food 4 (and so on, just with different side effects/stat boosts)

Tab 2: Runes
- Superior Rune of the Monk (remove Minor, Major, are here only a waste)
- Superior Rune of the Spirits (New)
- Superior Rune of the Tomb Raider (New)
- Superior Rune of Rituals (New)
- Superior Rune of Darkness (New)
- Superior Rune of Gravelings (New)

Tab 5: Armors of quality Rare, Exotic and Ascended, so basically 3 different skinned Armor Sets with Ascended becoming first accessible, once you have progressed enough in your Dungeon Masteries as a Dungeon Master, what is what you need to be first to open up for your account the Dungeon Masteries to progress on them.

- Set 1 (Rare) = Spirit Caller/ Hunter/ Keeper Sets for Light/Medium/heavy
- Set 2 (Exotic) = Ascalonian Performer/ Sentry/ Protector Sets for Light/Medium/Heavy
- Set 3 (Ascended) = Foefire Sets for Light/Medium/Heavy

Tab 6: Weapons again of Rare, Exotic and Ascended Quality, again 3 different Weapon Skin Sets based on the quality you buy

Set 1 (Rare) = Spiritual Weapon Set
Set 2 (Exotic) = Royal Ascalonian Weapon Set
Set 3 (Ascended) =Foefire Weapon Set

Another new Token Reward NPC for all kinds of Accessoires
Tab 1: Accessoires – Rings
- Various Exotic Rings with different Stats/Types and unique Ascalonion Flavor Names
- Items with that you can turn these Accessoires via Jeweler 500 later into Ascended Accessoires

Tab 2: See above, but for Earrings
Tab 3: See above, but for Amulets
Let these Accessoires you can get here add then some new Stat Combinations that don’t exist yet, so that players that want to get that Stat Combination have to play Dungeons to get Equipment with their wished Stat Combo from this NPC.
Each Dungeon should provide 1 unique own Stat Combo that doesn’t exist yet or hasn’t yet or not anymore a constant way of obtaining it.

Tab 7: Masteries/Collectables
Here you will find then alot of items you can buy for Tokens that are then either needed for various Collections or that you can buy to receive a boost in Exp. towards the fitting Dungeon Mastery, as there would be a specific Dungeon Mastery for each different Dungeon and one overarching Dungeon Mastery that counts in general for all Dungeons.

This Tab will work basically similar to the Reward tabs of the other Masteries, where you can get then various thigns unlocked with for Collections and such stuff.

Thats in brief how i would rework for all Dungeons their Token Reward Lists to revive Dungeons and give people again serious reasons for why they should actively play them, without that this reason needs to be in first line, to just make quickly Gold – for tjhat we have now mainly Fractals, but Dungeons need to have their very own reasons for existance and those reasons can exist only with approiate and unique rewards and a reward system especially, that encourages peopl constantly to help also other players, especially those, that need first to do the Story Mode, which gives only a bit Silver, even lesser than naturally the reduced Exploration Mode now … thats absolutely no incentive to help others – its just a waste of time, because in the tiem that you waste with others to get them their Story Mode done, could you easily have made alot more income, than what you get from doing the daily Story Mode…

So instead of giving peole lousy 50 Silver, reward them with something, that gives people a reason to want to help as many people with their Story as possible, like for example a significant boost in Dungeon Tokens, that is daily once significantly higher than what you get from a Exploration Run and add on top of this a new dungeon universal Help Token (to add just 1 instead of 8 new currencies) that you receive only from doing any kind of Story Mode and helping others with theirs, which players can use then basically as Joker Tokens instead of using the normal Tokens, if you reach for something that you want earlier the needed amount of the “Help Tokens”, than what the NPC wants from you via the Normal Tokens.

Example:

You can pay either 500 Ascalonian Tears (Normal Token) for a Gift of Ascalon, or you can pay instead 10 Soul Spheres, the alternative universal Help Token that you get by helping other players with their Story Modes in whatever Dungeon you like.
So you as player can then decide, do I rather want to play the specific Dungeon, until I get the 500 Ascalonian Tears, or do I help out 10 people with their Story Modes somewhere and get as plus 10x a boost on normal specific tokens of that Dungeon where you help out too so you get a stronger incentive on helping other players, than just farming the Dungeons constantly normally on Exploration Mode only.

i can only hope Anet gives dungeons some love again
i recently read it somewhere and it is just true:
Dungeons are the kind of content that should be between hitting lvl 80 and Raids…
And it is what new players should focus on first to gain experience in content that is harder than open world but not as hard as Highlvl Fractals or Raids

I am a bit scared that anet wouldnt introduce dungeon specific Gliders / Finishers / Mining Tools / etc… because they want that stuff reserved for gemshop

Your ideas are awesome and i hope Anet takes a look at them and revives dungeons again

I’m all for them adding new things to each dungeon, but I do not agree with a token convert. Means people can farm the easy dungeons for the harder tokens. To me that isn’t how the dungeon should work.

I think anet should provide also for the visual stuff ingame rewards.
They already did this also for Outfits, theres one, that you can earn in the game, that you dont need to buy from the Gemstore.
So when anet can add stuff like earnable Outfits, why shouldn’t they be also so kind to add also for the other visual things in this game like Finishers, like Gathering Tools, like Gliders and so on also too somewhere in the game earnable visual rewards of those categories???

If Anet would give each Dungeon their own earnable visual rewards in form of unique outfits, unique gliders, unique mailpost skins or unique finishing moves, it won’t hurt Anet very much – no it will do Anet good, because if they would do this step, it would show, that Anet doesn’t care only for the gemstore, but also for their game and its players, that their game provides appropiate, useful and AWESOME/FUN rewards for that you as a player absolutely WANT TO WORK FOR by doing the game’s content.

If Anet would give like I suggested each Dungeons their own unique visual rewards, this wouldnt stop ANet from puttign simply somethign else into the gemstore.
Fantasy and creating new skins for stuff like this are infinite!!
You don’t need to steel from other game content areas of your game potential nice rewards, just to have something to put into your gemstore, when theres more than enough other things they can whenever they like put in there as replacement that hasn’t anything to do with the dungeons…

Theres even still untouched stuff that ANet could put anytime into the Gemstore to add new marketign fields to the gemstore, like “Mounts” and in one moment they instantly have again a huge new cash cow to milk for a long time…just saying …how easy it is to “avoid” a “Gemstore Drought”, that will never happen, even if ANet would make all my suggestions here really into ingame rewards, rather than stuffing the gemstore full with all of that…

On good marketing of an Online store, you have always to think several steps further ahead of what you will want to put in next to keep the store running actively, so that you never run out of ideas and if you run out of ideas for one area, then you have already the next completely different thing on the start, like for example Mounts or whatever else will be the great next visual fluff that will come, once ANet should run out of ideas for the visual top fluff of the moment that is currently Gliders.

anet has already long time ago pretty much halfway destroyed any reason to play Dungeons at all, – all this pointless thinking about what kind of Dungeon you play for Tokens has become already since that moment completely void, when anet added for PvP the Reward Tracks, making it pretty much possible for everyone to get nearly all Dungeon Rewards except of the Gifts for Legendary Weapons, without having to ever have put a single feet for a freaking SINGLE SECOND INTO ANY DUNGEON at all!!

This alone is the reason why Dungeons were even already long tiem before ANet removed the Gold Reward halfways dead, because it was alot quicker and far more efficiently to farm PvP Reward Tracks to get all your Dungeon Skins and ultimatively also the Dungeoneer Title unlocked, than to play the Dungeons.
This fact alone makes it pretty much pointless to be against Token Conversion, because actually you can already get whatever skin you want by not having to play at all the Dungeons!!

So the point is logically, as long as this fact stands and stays, there shouldn’t be a problem with it when there would be a way introduced to convert one Dungeon Token Currency into a different one, similar like you can convert 1 HoT Currency with that Leyline Converter into the other types of HoT Currency.

If Anet would add this kind of Converter, it would make the situation again a bit more fair for all those people that actually still play Dungeons after Anet practically destroyed their own content on purpose, just to shift the players over to Fractals intentionally and by adding the PvP Reward Tracks they did it in this case more or less I guess unintentionally, because they couldn’t just know, how many people exactly actually would shift over to play rather PvP, than the Dungeons – as we saw, it were in the end so many people, that you had after that patch instantly massively more problems in finding people for the Dungeons… PvP Reward Tracks are practically responsible for HALVING the volume of players that did play in the past the Dungeons from one moment to the other after the patch hit the game…

I really don’t think we need a dungeon token converter. You can buy exotic and rare gear with tokens, rares give you ectos went you salvage it.

You can put exotics into the forge and you get a new exotic that you can sell or be lucky and get a precursor. I got 3 precursors using dungeons exotic weapons.

Before dungeon nerf i used to save 18k-20k tokens and buy dungeon weapon put into teh forge and see what happen I made a decent amount of gold that way.
