Ok so i run dungeons alot, i have several alts i am growing so i hold on to most of the tokens i get from dungeon runs.

Because of the limited stack size of each token i now have an entire bank slot filled with them, and just started another.

Is there anyway this could be fixed ? Stack size increased to 500, or 750 ?

Making them a collection would not help since that would just decrease them by 1 stack each.

Thanks for any input others might add.

Also (unless they fixed that if so feel free to correct me) the armor shouldnt soulbound it should be account bound so you can actually spend the money instead of hoarding up tokens incase you decide to make a new character.

I’m okay with only one stack in the collectibles window, actually. That would be far preferable to none.

And I imagine the whole point of having to obtain so many resources and tokens and such is to help push people to get more bank slots to store it all, anyways, so I doubt they’ll increase the stack size.

Remember when our developers talked about “strengthening the core game”?
How’d that work out for us so far?
Now let’s try some ideas that will really work.

why would you hold entire bank spaces just for tokens if you just leave them there.
250 stacks are fine as they are

Because maybe he was like hmm i think i want to be a sylvari instead of a a norn for this type of armor. So he hangs onto the tokens incase he wants to make that decision.

in wich case you can farm that dungeon with that alt to even soak more exp on it aswell.
i’d say still say to spend them . using entire bank tabs is waste of space

In my humble opinion I wouldn’t mind dungeon tokens getting their own collectible tab. I also wouldn’t mind an increase in stack size for all collectibles to 999.

just spend them. i highly doubt an increase in stack or making them or other mats into collectibles will ever happen. bank spaces are in the gem store

i save them for my alts all progressing towards 80, i do dungeons more then just for the tokens… mostly for gold.

Its 6 stacks of tokens for a full suit of armor, i guess i could use the tokens now when they are lower level, but one i am not sure if you can buy the pieces from the LA vendors if yer not level 80.

Personally I think all stack sizes are way too small for 250. So much for “deposit all collectables” when you already got 250 in your collectables and another 2k in the bank.

You will be fine you can indead buy the items even if your not lvl80 just make sure the caracter thats going to use it is buying the items as it soulbounds as soon as you get it. Im also a altoholic and some of my lvl80s was fully geared long before reaching 80.

The armor is soulbound on acquire, the dungeon tokens are account bound.

So do not buy the armor/weapons you want for a character on another character, as it will be soulbound to the character who bought it.

Stacks are 250 max for a very good reason – a technical one, so no that change wont happen.
Instead you could argue to just divide the rewards and requirements by 10 but that would require remanaging of all the current tokens owned by players. More trouble than its worth.
So yea storage is a good investment and so is getting rid of items you dont really need.

You can do a few things:
1.Open all your bag slots.
2.Unlock all your bank slots.
3.Make a guild and unlock it’s bank.
4.Make an alt which specialty is only to collect things.

I personally have opened 8bag slots,3 bank slots and have an extra alt with 4bags x15slots each.If at some point the space is not enough i will unlock more bank slots and buy bigger bags for the alt

Tokens should be changed to a currency, either being treated similar to gems or given a special infinite token-only bank tab.

If they follow the current dungeon trend, in a few years, there’ll be hundreds of different tokens and you won’t have any space.

just a reminder that you can put dungeon weapons in the mystic forge for a chance at legendary precursor. I do it all the time since the worst case scenario I get somethign worth 2.5 gold to sell on the TP. Also for higher level dungeons like COF and HOTW you can salvage the rares for ectos. For lower level dungeons you can also go this route by buying the exotic shoulderpads and then salvaging (but this is less efficient). Hope i helped

Incase he switches gear, and in the future decides he want to switch back to that particular dungeon armor/weapon since he still enough tokens anyway ! And why would it hurt you if tokens were able to be stacked to 500 – 750 ?

I have purchased all bank slot upgrades and I too was thinking of asking something similar to this the other day for dungeon tokens. Even with FULL bank space upgrade with multiple alts you can fill that bank up fast. Seriously 250 max for dungeon tokens is just too silly considering how many you need per piece of them.

I’m pretty sure you can not bank account or soulbound items into guild banks. If you could this could lead to a form of griefing. I would think that would be the reason I dunno why apart from that besides wanting you to buy more bank space of course. :P

What? Seriously? Are you… really?

Why wouldn’t you put the exotic armor/weapons and throw 4 in the MF. You’ll get back one you can actually sell.

Also, I’m pretty sure you can salvage the rares (20/30 tokens) to get ectos from the higher dungeon merchants

If the stack count was stored as a single byte, the limit would be 255. 999 would require 2 bytes, raising the limit to 65k.

I would love to see a system like this too. Just like with Rare Crafting Materials, You need a significant amount of tokens to get items. Even the “cheaper” one handed weapons can cost 300 tokens. This amounts to at least having two stacks taking up space that are otherwise useless.

However, the counter argument is that they can only allow so many collectible taps before it starts to get too easy. Banks have to have a sense of storage too them.

My pvp characters double as storage of things like this, too precious for me to want to delete, but no need in the immediate future.

It’s an awkward system with so many different currencies. Shame they couldn’t think of any better way to manage it. Or maybe they did, but went with this to sell more bank/alt storage spaces…
