I had a great time with the first dungeon lvl 30. After that is just a train wreck with other dungeons and explorable dungeons(including the same lvl 30).

Too much insta gibs and invulnerability on enemies and on bosses.

On the enemies/bosses that needs to be blinded, knockdown, daze, immobile, etc. you cant because they are protected against everything and packed with skills that can insta gib the whole party. Too much work for so little.

You guys gotta really tone down on the elitist stuff and make it so you can have a good time.

We’ve known for forever that dungeons would be crazy hard and require a lot of cohesive teamwork to complete without major setbacks.

I sure loved fighting the big bad dragon of the game in the Arah Dungeon… Only to grab a gun, and spam 2 without any fear of dying, until the dragon died. I got hit once by his single attack.

Most anti climactic, boring endgame fight I have seen in years in a game.

Dungeons aren’t fun with a bad group that doesn’t focus fire. Be a leader and hit CTRL+T on the most dangerous mob in each pack. Then target other mobs after that one is dead. You will find that people play better and it’s far less chaotic when someone takes the initiative and directs their teammates.

Also, dodge early and often.

I agree one shotting is a weak weak cop out. It makes toughness and vitality pointless. If you get one shotted regardless why bother? When one shotting is excessive or happens at all imo it shows a real lack of creativity from the Dev team for dungeon content.

No one likes to be one shotted. And a toughness/vitality toon should not get one shotted the same as a glass cannon build.

Exactly, getting a mediocre amount of toughness means you should just be able to completely ignore mechanics and just stand and deliver.

Dungeons were crazy hard in GW1 as well. Get rid of that WoW mentality where all those dungeons are easy… no challenge.

Dodging is fine, but where is the advantage of being more tanky if you take the same damage or die in one shot? They may as well remove the HP bars and armor stats from the game. If you will notice in PVP one shotting is not really all that prevalent. It shouldn’t be in PVE either.

Back in the day getting one shotted was a WTF moment….like OMG he is can one shot you? It was rare like reserved for god like mob monsters. In this game a common thug with a bb gun can one shot you. I mean its understandable why its there…its because they made all the classes play the same, removed support roles, so it is either faceroll easy or they make every mod one shot and rely on the dodge mechanic to add a reflex driven challenge to the game.

I think the one shotting is a consequence of neutering support roles

LOL no one said they lack the reflexes…but I am sure you have been one shotted. Of course you won’t admit it, obviously. But at the same time you can be one shotted by all sorts of mobs. Not just boss mobs. The riflemen in that one dungeon can do it. And boss mobs are pretty common too. And dodging isnt always an option, if you have dodged twice already. Having the HP bar go from 100% to 0% in one shot, or even a couple imo is bad game play.

Especially when this is happening to heavily armoured and defensively built characters. Thats the whole point of investing in traits a gear for defence, to survive when others don’t.

I have been one shotted. And every time I have, I know it was my own fault for not getting out of the way. See, unlike you, I’m not going to complain about the game whenever I screw up.

there is a fight in cof exp, although very easy and i have never seen a wipe on this guy. that summons a giant devourer. this does an aoe that puts a red circle on the ground for 0.5seconds or less before it hits (not sure if thats just bugged though) and deals around 15k dmg on 2500 toughness. it can kill heavy and light armor people in one shot, is pretty hard to dodge because of the short warning, its ranged and rather large circle too.

theres a fight in arah explorable, giganticus lupicus. His aoe hits around 10k when i was stacking toughness and vit which got me 19k hp as an engineer, which still means i die in 2 hits, so i put on glass cannon gear it hits me for 11k and i have 15k hp, still can take 2 hits.

so his point in saying building tanky when things hit so hard is kinda valid. taking off 1k dmg off 10k dmg attacks doesn’t really do anything when you’re halving your damage for it.

AC explorable is really tough.

Ghost Eater isn’t THAT bad. Howling King is insane though. That room with the graveling mounds is just flat out ridiculous.
