Thats not what he is asking, he’s looking for color combinations for individual parts of the armor pieces.
I’d go with Abyss/Harvest Gold, or Celestial and any bright Blue, two color scheme. Anything more than three colors is outright garish.
He doesn’t want something too insanely expensive. For metallic grays, consider getting graphite and gunmetal dyes. Regal and ocean are reasonably good dark blues.

butter is a nice color for a bright shiny color. Iron is nice a bit high for a blue but looks good. I also really like wrath and brick. All of those are pretty inexpensive. For about 1 g you can buy every master (blue) dye and that is a nice pallet to work with.
Humiliation, Pink and Pastel Pink.
I heard dye remover is awesome and costs nothing.
Pitch, Lipstick and Mithril.
Granted I use this on leather armour but it looks awesome.
can never go wrong with silver and gold on metal armor. For about 1g each dye its not overly expensive and looks awsome on my warrior. also if you dont mind spending about 5 or so gold then midnight fire is pretty cool for a base with gold or silver for trim
Blood+Illumination. Never fails.

I actually have a few different set ups that I use. One is White and Heather, another is Black White Gold and Iron. I also have a Royal blue and Ruby combination that looks good too. My favorite thing in this game is being able to test different color schemes and see what looks good on what.
Midnight Fire + Blood.

Have to agree… though Midnight Fire and Midnight Ice are nice on my Ele… either way any of the Migdnight dyes are decent whilst not overly costly… I think Ice and Fire go for around 5-7G on the TP
“What looks cool”
…What looks cool for you…? “Cool”, “nice”, “pretty”… It’s all incredibly subjective and personal.
I never get this kind of requests. It just sounds lazy to the extreme. You know what looks cool for you. In fact, you’re the only person that knows what looks cool for you. So… Look for the cheapest alternatives of those colors. Tada.
indigo + redemption
celestial + blood + indigo
abyss + white gold + redemption
I went Blue Sky + Silver. Matches well with the flame effects of certain spells
Pick some colors you like.
