Dye system for outfits is "No good"
Hilarious.
I’d love it if each individual outfit dye job was “remembered” when you switched around outfits. It can be tedious to re-dye every time you switch around.
Saving your dye combinations for each outfit in the same way each piece of armour saves its own dye would be pretty cool, /signed
Sure, why not.

I disagree with Chillbox 100%. If you cannot figure out how to dye armour then you should just not bother.

100% agree here. I just take screenshots of the dyes that work on an outfit and then i use those later.

Dear Dante,
I think you have the whole screenshots process figured out. I think I shall listen to your advice, and take a screenshot of your name, to make sure I never have to listen to the things you have to say again!
Take care!

Okay, let me explain all this to you.
First of all, we’re talking about dying outfits not armor. There is a difference.
Second of all, we’re not talking about not knowing how to dye something but rather saving the dye jobs for each individual outfit.
Let me give you a simple comparison. People have been asking for the ability to save builds. If I had gone into that thread and told them that if they can’t figure out how to create a build then they should not bother, they would have said I was an idiot.
Same thing. It’s not that they don’t know HOW to make a build, it’s just tedious to switch them and redo them all the time.
If you are being sarcastic, then please disregard the above.
Thank you.
I wonder how much extra information it would be to remember all the different dye combinations for all the different outfits for each character on all the accounts. Might possibly be a large amount.
ANet may give it to you.
Yes this will come right after rangers can name all their pets and it will be remembered
Yes this will come right after rangers can name all their pets and it will be remembered
So wish that would happen, too.
I mean, older games do this.
And on LOTRO, another old game, I can have 6 outfits all ready to go and dyed at the same time.
Yes, outfits remembering the dye setup for each would be a nice QoL improvement.
RIP City of Heroes

Never played that game. How many colors did you have available to use? Since this game has over 400 different colors that might be a factor in whether or not it’s easy to set up a system to remember all the possibilities.
Edit: looking at wiki, it says 479 (21 starter. 382 regular and 76 gemstore)

LOTRO doesn’t have near the dye colors GW2 does, so yeah, it would take more to do this. Still, even having a queue of different outfits, dyed or not, rather than just one would be nice.

Oh sure. It would be a nice QOL to remember all sorts of stuff, from dyes to pet names to builds. Maybe one day they’ll devote an update to only this sort of thing.

Just a note then: The way the OP Is worded, specifically this part "What we suggest is that each outfit would have its own set of dyes. We hope you can make it happen… "
To me: suggested that you wanted each outfit to have a limited amount of dyes available to be applied to it, because you couldnt figure out or it was to hard to figure out which dyes worked on each outfit.
Instead you are asking for outfits to remember which dyes you had on it, and or a dye combo saver, perhaps you should edit your post to make this clear. Because i fully support that.

Bravo! a wonderful RP if I’ve ever seen one .
Yup. Too limited, Much sadness.
Also still waiting for the feature that lets me hide outfit helmets, revealing armor helmet instead.

Dear Dante,
I decided to change the wording. Hopefully people will be able to understand better.
Farewell!
