Guild Wars 2

At this point in time i’ve got friends that are coming back to GW2 on both NA and EU sides… I don’t see why we can’t make 1 home server per region rather than world, as we can’t guest cross region this is extremely unfair especially considering the cost to transfer region to region…
i -can- see it for WVWVW/WVW but at the same time.. I want to play with both NA and EU friends many of which lag out if they go to the opposing region, I’d like to see AN’s official responce to allowing people to play on both regions at once without buying a second account. .

They addressed this earlier in the year when they first instituted guesting. If I remember correctly, it has to do with the physical location of each region’s servers, and the way they’re networked.

At this point, they are unable to make it so that your account is on both regional databases.

Whether this will change in the future or not is anybody’s guess, but at this point in time, it doesn’t look very likely.

Right now the only way to play with both regions is to purchase that 2nd account.

While a lot of us are unhappy with this development, especially since many of us planned our guilds with full guesting ability in mind, we are happy that we can at least guest to other servers in our region.
