Just wondering if there is going to be an Easter event possibly an egg hunt around tyria ?

Usually GW doesn’t celebrate Easter, but it would be nice.

Correction: GW does celebrate Easter (bunnies, eggs…), but GW2 has not yet. Still hoping.

Easter is actually a pretty good opportunity to bring back the Bunny Ears, so +1 to that idea.

I had hoped we’d get the bunny ears back last Easter…didn’t happen then. REALLY hope it happens this time.

I could go for some pastels and eggs.

I don’t think they’re generally in the habit of making server-wide events in association with religious celebrations or festivals, but something like Easter has been rather secularized (at least in North America) to the point where non-Christians participate in it. It ends up being sort of a “mini-Christmas” type deal. So I suppose it’s possible they’d have some small event for it, but I don’t expect that they will.

Although I suppose it would be an opportunity to reintroduce the bunny ears, similar to have they have the flower bouquet and such for Valentine’s Day.

Spring Fling with activities like planting trees off the beaten path, finding lost chicks and returning them to their families, no point in letting us know that Mommy and Daddy are big bad angry birds, I can see where it could be a lot of fun.

Yes, it’ll be temporary bunny ears and instead of running we will be crouched and hopping. I’m sure that’ll please those that complained about April Fools.

I really don’t know about an Easter event. I imagine that there has bunny a related death or two sometime, somewhere. Wouldn’t want people to get offended.

In GW1, they have Special Treats Week (formerly just a weekend). According to the wiki:

Sweet Treats Week is a special event that occurs annually from April 10, 19:00, to April 17, 19:00 UTC (source), which coincides roughly with Easter weekend.

During this event, a Golden Egg and/or Chocolate Bunny will randomly drop from PvE foes.

There hasn’t been anything like it to-date for GW2.

Easter is actually a very good opportunity to bring back SAB… yeah OK, I just made that one up. In truth, anything is a very good opportunity to bring back SAB.

Probably some cash shop items.
