Easy to get limited items?
Its so the China server can get their hands on these old items.
But this old stuff is pretty grindy as well so don’t feel too bad.
Players have to make a choice of getting a couple old items or 1 new item with the meta reward and then have to farm events repeatedly to once again pick either the other new item or some more old ones.

I guess it’s something… :< but I still regret I wasted so much time…was it…20-25 achievements for the karka shell? Ehh…
A bunch of achievement points though, that’s still something right?

Not for me. I couldn’t care less. Since the karka update I’ve been doing living story to get rewards (skins mostly). x/
Kinda sad that TA aether path backpiece lost its exclusivity.
Sigh Now you can get season 1 stuff paying only 25 laurels and 25 gold. I’m happy for people who missed out, but I’m also really bummed that those items aren’t limited anymore. They probably won’t get rid off it, but they should at least get the prices ‘right’. That Sclerite Karka Shell required like…20 or 25 achievements? While that yellow flower only required one jumping puzzle. x/
I think it’s better for everyone to be able to get the items they want.
I said many times I wish I could sell some of the rewards I got to people who actually want them. This is a pretty good compromise.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”

I’d honestly prefer ability to unbind acc bound stuff and giving it to friends over making limited items unlimited and selling them for ‘cheap’. Granted – those aren’t cheap for completely new players, but 25 laurels isn’t that much. I just feel like anet keeps adding stuff for new players while completely ignoring ‘veterans’.

25 laurels is a minimum of 15 days or about the same amount of time that was available to do most of the original achievements.

Yes, I realize that. Sadly, that’s only part of the issue.

10 of those 25 overlaps with the 10 from the Fervid Censer. Of the remaining 15 …
5 were “talk to NPCs”
1 use a consumable you buy from a NPC after an easy event
1 was into the water at a particular spot
1 was run to each of the camps
None of the things for sale on the laurel vendor look like ‘rewards for a challenging task’. If they were selling something like that it would be an issue. Maybe the calf tonic and the mini panda. I didn’t bother with the last release so I have no idea how much work was required for those.
All items in the wardrobe should have a way to be acquired in the game even if it costs 10 times the gold or effort.
This was a step in the right direction, there are still over a dozen items that Anet had available previously as town clothes should now be made available again since they can be worn in combat.
