Echoes of the Past Trailer
By Ogden’s Hammer!
It made me happy to see Ogden! It also seems the Pact is finally making their move.
Finally a trailer! :’D
I guess they are using some ancient dwarven library to figure out what’s going on in the vision. Or maybe the dragons in general.
Was that the Dragon’s Lair I saw?
- Piken Square, [REN][DKAL]
Yep, i believe that WAS Glints little shard realm. makes sense what with the Zephyrites being her children’s protectors, etc.
Soraya Mayhew – Thief
Melissa Koris – Engie – SF for Life!
Those crystals and the fact that Ogden shows up all point to something with Glint’s offspring.
Zaphiel Faires – DPS Guardian
It almost looks like the Priory’s getting blown up.
Yeah the Priory gets attacked.
Those crystals and the fact that Ogden shows up all point to something with Glint’s offspring.
Don’t forget, Glint’s Lair is in a tiny speck of sand, which makes it so hard to find.
Guess what is in that hourglass!
It exploding has me worried though…

Actually, it wasn’t. That’s what people were told. Edge of Destiny explains what was really the case.
Long story short, lots of people have been in Glint’s lair, most without their knowledge.
Are Dwarves coming back? :O
Oh my godness.. I watched the trailer many times and I am sooooooo excited! It is so amazing stuff going on in the guild wars 2 lore at the moment and I want to find the last puzzle piece and reveal the secrets! I like the story of guild wars 2 so much and I can identify myself with the characters a lot, its just amazing!
I want to know why this all happened.
What the last vision showed, what Mordremoth does next, I want to reveal scarlets secrets, I want to know what the master of peace has to do with the whole thing, whats going on with Rytlock Brimstone, what’s about Jory’s sister and much much more!
Seriously, I am so amazed by the awesome feature of lore in this game and it touches me so hard!
I just want to thank ArenaNet for their great work and making such an amazing game! I am looking forward soooo much to next story part of the story and… just another thanks!

Glint’s lair is actually revealed to not only be within a shard of sand…but within every single shard of sand in the Crystal Desert. I can’t find a source but I know it’s true, it was probably in that Edge of Destiny novel
Well. I doesn’t have to be Glint’s Lair.
We see the Zephyrites getting shot down, and we assume that they somehow discovered or maybe even carried Glint’s offspring. Throughout the trailer we see a lot of crystals, that don’t really connect with Mordremoth, so those crystals could very well have something to do with that dragon. Furthermore, the dwarves had a pretty significant role in regards to Glint, so the fact that Ogden is either needed or introduced could suggest a Glint-reference as well.
Zaphiel Faires – DPS Guardian
Finally, a trailer without horrible voice acting.
First thoughts, looks good. Though on further thoughts, I wonder if this is all in first chapter or just the second half as a whole (which is what I’m leaning towards).
Though with the Charr(ish) fort/building, how long after last episode does this take? How can they put up a building that fast?
With the circling airship, I wonder if players will get to man the guns on it while others are on the ground. Would be sorta like Teq turrets, but in a ‘moving’ turret.
Don’t forget, Glint’s Lair is in a tiny speck of sand, which makes it so hard to find.

i think the crystalline/ice cave section of the trailer is the place where we defended Glints’ child in the Eye of the North expansion, since that took place in the shiverpeaks, which is shown in the trailer too. I doubt its Glints’ lair, since that would be over by where Krakky is and I doubt anyones ventured that far/close to Krakky to recover the sand grain (if that is truly where her lair was).
Also the thing exploding could be them trying to repair that locket artifact that’s supposed to show the true heir of Donic (? can’t remember his name).

Dwarves and dragons are on the menu, and I’m eating it up so far. These give me some hope since I know we’ll be seeing new turf to strut upon as well, like some Dwarven Ruins.
I like specially the new Dry Top WvW map. Looks very good.
Lots of stuff crammed into the final moments there. So ..we’ll be seeing Ogden again. And it appears we’ll also see Glint’s Lair (in the Crystal Desert!!!).
Also airships flying around which I’d like to wishfully think will be an introduction to our new Guild Airships.
And that statue is totally Abaddon, followed by markings clearly related to the Realm of Torment. Should be interesting to see what this all means.
Server: Tarnished Coast
This is probably nowhere near correct, but what if the Abaddon thing is for a new (1 path only?) dungeon? Which unlocks one of those outfits/armor sets that That_shaman has found.

Are Dwarves coming back? :O
Ogden have been back since release. It does however suggest that we will get more information about the dragons.
Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square
I think it’s possible the statue is largely there to represent something or add lore to a location we are going. There may be some link to him and the main story, but I would doubt any major plot line involving him.
Wont be complaining if I’m proved wrong mind you
Are we going there again? <3
I don’t know why but the picture you posted was emotional for me.

“Sea Dragon”
It could simply be the Priory’s attempt to quantify the existence of a Sea Dragon, without knowing or assigning it a proper name.
Still, a very nice find indeed.

OMG THIS ^ This is very interesting!
That marking translation does look very possible, and it also means that the whole ’Zhaitan’s death’ and ‘orb crushing into the middle’ does add up. Alot of people were thinking the green one would be Mordremoth but that wouldn’t make any sense. I do wonder what we will find out in these episodes because obviously something bad is going on precisely because Zhaitan was defeated.
Dragons = Human gods

First thing that came to my mind was: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Xsshsss_Zsss
I don’t know why.

Bummer.
I really wish he was called something like Szzhss Xzz

There’s certainly some parallels between them.

Nice catch there, if its really (or will be) in the game.
New name: Super Bubbles.
From another thread: http://imgur.com/a/pm8D2
so looks like at least 3(ish) new enemies. New husk like ones, new type of tentacle (or at least the rest of the tentacles we’ve seen. see pic 4)

Sea Dragon? Naaa, too generic. Clearly the S is for Selbbub.

So glad you liked the trailer. I think it was marvelous, too!

Abaddon was the God of Water and Secrets, I have no doubt that since his body was destroyed he will be resurrected as the dragon of the sea. This will likely be as a result of the power of Glint’s heart which I think the Master of Peace was carrying.
Well next week’s new Zone will be right above Dry Top on the map by assaulting Fort Vandal In Brisband Wildlabds. Those lv 80 bandits at the fort or from the same area are the ones who were supplying the village in Dry Top.
The inside of the Fort seems to have been Fortified. Can someone confirm this?

Also remember that the same orb and circle layout was used in GW1 as the map of the realm of torment so there might be something in that eternal alchemy way of looking at things to show the link between worlds and realities.

An issue:
Black = Zhaitan
Green = Mordremoth
At least according to the Crucible of Eternity/Infinite Coil Reactor.
The ceiling has the two backwards.
It makes more sense for Zhaitan to be Black anyways, as that means the right side are all dragons that primarily corrupt living beings into minions (Kralk, Zhaitan, Jormag); while the left side are dragons that primarily create minions from elements (water, plant, fire/stone || DSD, Mordremoth, Primordus).
But we can’t expect this location to have seen the Eternal Alchemy, so it’s not strange for a mistake like this.

Presuming this is the Priory.
And one would think they would have the name known to them. Or at least part of it. After all, they knew about Mordremoth’s name despite it not being presented to us by the Priory.
To quote myself from the lore forum’s thread on this:
I figured out the name of the Deep Sea Dragon!
Scleritethin.
And “Sclerite” are his minions.
Get it? Because Mordremoth and Mordrem…

Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Yup i also suspect, as this trailer hinted, the return of dwarves …. maybe we get new playable rase.
Dragons = Human gods
Always thought that.
My theory: For the universal machine, eternal alchemy, to work each cog (world) needs to continually cycle through magic. To ensure this mechanic continues unended, whatever created the universe created six being over each world, giving them leave to see to it that the system function however they like so long as they consumed and then released magic in the proper timing with their role in the universal machine.
On whatever world the humans came from, the six chose to be benevolent Gods, but the people rebelled, broke the system, and the world was destroyed as they fled to Tyria. Now here on Tyria, instead of benevolent Gods leading mortalkind they chose to take the form of Dragons, and scour the world at the end each cycle, then sleep until the new cycle ends.

An issue with this is the Infinite Coil Reactor (aka Crucible of Eternity’s structure).
The Inquest marked Black as Zhaitan, and Green as Mordremoth.
So either the Inquest got it wrong, and Black=Mordremoth and Green=Zhaitan
Or where ever this place is got it wrong, and Green=Mordremoth, and Black=Zhaitan

That’s pretty close to my developing theory.
I don’t see any relation between the Elder Dragons and the Six Gods themselves, such ties end after the Balth/Primordus and Mel/Mordy ties, but six powerful world-ending beings in World A, and six powerful able-to-end-worlds beings in World B… I think that’s more than just a mere coincidence.

Don’t be too sure of that. I’m pretty sure my GW1 characters smashed all of Glint’s crystal eggs. (Don’t blame me… it wasn’t my idea make it the Mission Bonus.)
Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm the rest of his life.

That looks kinda like an Abaddon statue to me. Innnnterestingg.
PUNCH STONEFIST—Warrior
Skera Veidhimadhr—Necromancer
This is a nicely done trailer. I’m looking forward to (hopefully) helping out Rytlock, wherever he is.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
So far possible locations for the second half of the season.
1: New explorable zone after exiting Fort Vandal.
Very similar to Dry Top in Maguma Wastes, but with airships and more action.
2: Glints Lair ( Maybe just the video)
3: The Priory.
I really hope this patch has more ""contents"" than those 1 hour long living stories we had back in October, or I will be very disappointed with the 2 months break.
The Trailer was good yes. But normally the content cant reach to the quality of the trailer. So dont put your expetations too high, could be something real good or they simply rewrite the definition of “abysmal”.
