I didn’t know it was possible, but I lost ~6000 gold in the past day. (had 4000 ectos in the bank in massive-glob form, which accounts for ~2000g, not included in the account value – it’s gone now!)

Friendly tip to those thinking about it, don’t do it!

With that much Gold, I guess you can afford to gamble….not for the first time.

Most gold I’ve ever had was 700+ and that was from massive selloffs to fund Nightfury. If I had your kind of gold I’d get a perma hair kit But your cautionary tale keeps me away from ecto gambling yet again, so thank you

Well, at least you’ve helped the overall economy for other players by contributing to the gold sink. I mean.. black hole..

Id say the best gambling in game is speculation buying from the tp. You look at what things anet has changed in the past, See what needs to be reworked or what looks like might be buffed in the future. Sometimes just grabbing some of the cheapest items and sitting on them until prices go up can yield results.

It’s like any gambling. You might win big but the odds are stacked in favor of the house. Your more likely to loose money.

Wow, hopefully you don’t throw real world money around like that.

The most I’ve lost is when I accidentally lost 50 ectos (+5 for inscription) when I was trying discovering recipes. I hit on Radiance which takes 50 ectos. Of course I didn’t notice and crafted it, it comes out account bound (why??). I already had a staff more powerful so not knowing what to do with it I salvaged it. After salvaging it I realized how many ectos it took. Oh well I unlocked the skin. Expensive lesson though but not as expensive as yours.

That’s why it’s called gambling……..
