Guild Wars 2

I haven’t heard much on the topic of this recently so I was just wondering if anyone had figured anything out. I have 50k left, I’ve made my peace with the poor way this whole thing was handled. Hopefully it’s a learning experience for Anet (although lack of forthrightness does suggest otherwise).

I just want to feel like I got something out of it. If nothing else please just let me give it to my guild mates so at least they can get the benefit of the gathering tools. The idea of destroying something that costs me all my gold is quite crippling lol.

Any else in the forum found a way to deal with this or did they just bite the bullet and destroy them all?

Edit: sorry the title sounded like I had a solution, I didn’t realise until I made it.

I had a similar problem, but only around 7k (5k left now), I decided I’ll just use mine for exotics in case my ranger ever makes it to 80.

throw exotics on alts or stack up on sturdy gathering tools. Nothing else is really that good, unless you want the salvage kit so you don’t have to take up space for the monthly salvage.

Unfortunately all weapons are soulbound and my main is full exo in every set i need. If it was account bound at least I could use them to gear my alts.

First thing I did was fill a bank tab with tools and half a tab with salvage kits.

Second thing I did was get 80 exotics for all my alts of almost every weapon they could equip.

Another solution which isn’t very profitable anymore (might be again in future) is get the exotics, transmute them with a white, salvage for superior sigil of karka slaying, sell it.

The commendations are account bound the crates are soulbound for some weird reason though. So open the crates, bank the commendations, pick them up with alts and buy exotics.

open the boxes and the actual tokens are account bound. Weird way to design it.
