First, I wanted to mention I like the idea of the gemstore for income, instead of monthly fees. On this way the team gets good money to work on a lot new contents, upcoming soon, I hope.
When the new Flame Armor was presented in the gemstore, something seems familiar to me. So i looked up my old armors and what I found was this:
The Flamewalker Medium Armor was nearly the same skin like the (medium) Invader-Armor, you can buy in WvW.
So the designers decided to set 800 gems (that’s the price for 1 characterslot) as a price for a existing armor with some flame effects.
Come on, I know you can do this better!
Would also be a good time to stop trenchcoating the whole medium armor.

Its also a build in transmute stone x 6 so yes its comply worth it.

It’s still lazzy and people who in the community that deem it so have the right to make their opinion heard. I myself consider these Flameskins as lazzy, lets-make-a-quick-buck and uncreative armor.

This is not the road that I want Guild Wars 2 to take.

I really hate when I find out that a “New armor skin” is just some old skin with a sparky effect on it.

Can’t they just get creative and make something new? Or maybe “based on”, but not plain copy-paste with some particles here and there.

Why should you put money into this company anyway?

Ive made my mistake of buying this game, and they wont get any more money from me until they learn how to push builds with more fixes than bugs.

Theres alot of bugs that exist since launch that hasnt been fixed yet. But hey, at least we can play new (temporary) bugged content every 2 weeks with the bugged stuff we already have. So thats nice.

I liked the toxic shoulders though. That’s the only gemstore wearable that I bought so far.

Same here. I’ve not bought any gems with real cash since last August, and Arenanet is a long way from getting any more money out of me at this point.

Wait a minute… flamewalker was added months ago, but you decide to complain about it now? Right after they finally came with the change to flamekissed.

I agree though that selling skins we already have with some new fancy effect is kinda… well…
That is why I did not get it nor want it, don’t even like the flame effect.
I still buy other things from the gemstore and still like Anet (despite some faults).
