Hey guys,
ever since i got GW2 i have been looking for a way to make lots of gold with little to no effort. any suggestions would be great

Karka farming is pretty good last I checked, and it’s so low-effort you can watch TV while you do it. In fact, I would recommend having something to watch while you do it, because it’s rather monotonous. Just head to Southsun, wait for a train to form up, and ride along until it’s over / you want to stop. Sell the shells, get paid, etc. I can’t remember the exact numbers, but you’ll make a few gold pieces per hour.

Are you rich in real life? In that case buy gems and trade them for gold. Pretty effortless.

World bosses.

Event runs in Orr.

Non-Farming method: Spend Laurels on T6 Crafting bags. Sell on TP. Easy gold and more than enough to support general gameplay.

Some of these are pretty easy events, and you can do them once a day for a halfway decent reward. Get the waypoints, and when you have a few minutes to kill it never hurts to check and see if an event is about to happen. If it is, waypoint over and go for it.

(A couple do require more than just show up and shoot, the Evolved Wurm and Teq. I’d not try just jumping into those right before it’s time.)

I’d avoid WvW and PvP if you want money. Or to be lazy.

With each dungeon path giving you at least 1 gold I’d say dungeons are at the top. Only thing better would be playing the tp.

Why are you even playing?

STEP 1
Join my P1 COE group.

STEP 2
Open up youtube in another window.

STEP 3
Pretend like you don’t speak English.

STEP 4
Swing your sword every once and a while.

STEP 5
Ignore us when we explain how to stack the console part.

STEP 6
Throw in a random “lol.”

STEP 7
Don’t notice that someone is attempting to kick you, because no one is going to second the vote anyway.

STEP 8
Don’t notice you need to rally at the nearest WP and wait for us to rez you.

STEP 9
Notice that we actually finally passed the console part.

STEP 10
Realize you’re in Mount Maelstrom again with 1.5ish gold waiting to be picked up because “you helped complete the dungeon.”

Effortless

- Dungeons Speed Runs : 10 Gold per hour if you have a good group for all dungeons. Can drop to 7 gold per hour when you pugs depending on if you are lucky or not.

- Silverwaste : I’m not sure of the exact number here, but around 9-10 Gold per hour, but mostly in drop compare to dungeon. The disadvantage is that you kind of need to be a kitten and tag all event while other ppl finish them. The advantage is that you don’t have a limit on it you can do that all day if you want and it drop a lot of different things like karma, dragonite, etc that can be useful outside of just the gold.

- Skills points : A lot of skill points recipe can yield between 50 silver up to 1 gold per skill point (it can go higher, but then you need to search more, wait for the right time and they are usually only in small quantity). The advantage is that you can yield easily 20-40gold an hour, the disadvantage is that if you don’t have a good amount of gold to start with you won’t make much gold and that its highly link to the market (read changing over time, you need to check you stuff on a regular basis).

“Lots of Gold” with “little to no effort”…yeah, I don`t want to laugh, but you`re making it hard for me….
If there was such a method…do you really think someone would share it with others and lose his own income source?
you can start soloing certain stuff and get 15-20g+/hour, but don`t dare to exploit and sell

World Bosses- take the waypoint get to the area, afk a few minutes, come back tag some stuff, afk a few more minutes, scoop up your loot and on to the next. Decent money, nothing to write home about but nice and easy to do while you do chores.

Silverwastes/Event trains (like in Orr or something) – Run around tag everything, constantly having to do something though it’s incredibly mindless and takes no more effort than simply moving your character around and spamming 1, highly suggest using a guard for Event trains, silverwastes is fine with whatever as you’re looking for credit on events not each individual kill. Overall it’s good money, though personally it lulls me to sleep, i can do it for a few minutes then it’s sleepy time.

Farm Dungeons – This actually takes some effort though, as the faster you run it the more money you make that day. If you actually do every one you want to do in your daily tour and you hve time left in the day you can default to the above. Good money, but higher effort.

WvW Zerg – Basically like the Event trains, except it’s harder and less rewarding but can be fun if you have a good commanders on your side and the opposing sides as it’s really quite tactical in many situations.. blah blah, it’s like a more fun Event Train with less rewards and more work.

Map Completion – Pretty kitten easy, if you gather/mine/whatever stuff as you go you can make some decent money, I know a friend had found a platinum path and was worth quite a bit. Decent Money, little effort, and you actually get to see the full variety of content in the game.

Just some thoughts.

You can begg for gold in map chat. Mats also. You might get something you never know.

The most effortless way is to play whatever you feel like playing, and spare the gold you’re making. Everything else is called effort in my book.

Run EOTM with a class with lots of cleave to tag things (guardian is one), join world buss events, and spend extra karma on bloodtide coast karma light armor to toss in the mystic forge to salvage and get linen. That’s pretty much foolproof and anyone can do it.
