When Scarlett used Omad’s machine and caught a glimpse of the Eternal Alchemy it seemed she saw something… and that thing stared back.

My question is, if an Elder Dragon used (or was forced to use) Omad’s machine… what would it see? Would it see anything at all?

This is speculation more on what the Dragons might be rather than the direction of the current Living World. If what Scarlett saw while in the machine was a sleeping/dreaming Mordremoth, it might suggest that the Elder Dragons are manifestations of the Eternal Alchemy acting as a force of balance (which may explain the evolution of Tequatl now that Zhaitan is dead).

If what she saw was something else entirely, then it stands to reason that the Elder Dragons are merely ancient, powerful beings that periodically gorge themselves on magic and then return to stasis until stirred by hunger once again. If true, then it’s possible they might “see” something also. Would the effect be as profound upon them as it was for Scarlett? Is this effect, or this “meeting” something Scarlett may have an interest in facilitating?
