I’m actually immensely surprised a thread like this doesn’t already exist, there’s one for specializations, but the search function couldn’t help me find one for expansions. Keep in mind this is all just for fun!

We know that ArenaNet has another expansion in the works, and though it won’t see the light of day for some time, we can dream up our own expansions to get us hyped on the possibilities of the unknown xD

I’ve included my own brief expansion “pitch” as an example, but I want to see what other ideas are out there!

Guild Wars 2: Factions

Summary:

A return to a war-torn, desolated, Cantha where the descendants of the Luxon and Kurzick tribes seek to bolster their members due to their losses against the Deep Sea Elder Dragon.

Quick Feature list:

All new Canthan inspired specializations for each profession! Channel the power of your pet’s spirit as the Ritualist inspired Spirit Warden specialization for Ranger! Call upon the powers of Master Togo in the new Revenant specialization! Or tap into the unique powers and properties of jade as an Elementalist!

PvE

The Zephyrites have rebuilt their airships! Climb aboard the newly rebuilt Zephyr Sanctum and journey to Cantha where new challenges await!

Explore Cantha and it’s towering cities with the glider, and then dive underwater to face the Deep Sea Dragon’s army with newly revamped underwater combat!

The return of factions, more than simply the Luxon and Kurzick, earn the trust of others such as the Tengu, the Oni, and many more! Rise the ranks from a nobody, to a renown and respected member with special perks!

PvP

Optionally represent the faction of your choice (Luxon and Kurzick) in the open world! Players who choose to represent the opposing faction will appear hostile; so beware! Choosing to represent your faction will allow members of the opposing faction to attack you!

Being a newer player I didn’t know anything about Cantha. Looked it up and it’s very exciting! I love oriental anything usually so it’d be a definite yes for me. I’d be exploring every nook and cranny of the place.

AND THE SKINS…..all the excite for oriental based skins.

I wonder if Tahnanakai Temple still stands…and if the ancient hero spirits are still there. That would be a fun history lesson…

..and I wonder how Vizu would react to meeting a revenant channeling Shiro…

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

But it abolutely MUST have some extreme, vertigo-inducingly high towers/cliffs/platforms etc for us to leap off with our gliders.

I’m saddened to inform you that if Tahnnakai Temple were to be still standing to this day in Cantha. (something very plausible as the current Canthan Emperor is in the greatest favour of the human race. and maintaining temples of human heroes is a great way to maintain human-pride.)

But back to topic:
If it were to stand to this very day it does not ensure the presence of Vizu or any of the other ancient heroes present in the temple at the time of our playthrough of GW:Factions or even Winds of Change.

This is simply because the Heroes change.
Take Kaolai for example. (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Kaolai)
Kaolai was replaced with Togo, simply because of Togo’s more recent heroic deeds.
It appears that the Tahnnakai Temple has but 1 spirit to represent each GW profession:

Warrior ? Jaizhanju
Ranger ? Zojun
Monk ? Karei
Necromancer ? Naku
Mesmer ? Kitah
Elementalist ? Teinai
Assassin ? Vizu
Ritualist ? Kaolai ? Togo

Vizu, the Assassin representative has a chance of having been replaced by another hero, together with all other spirits, including Togo.

To give some hope however…

Togo replaced Kaolai after sacrificing his life to save his brother the emperor from being killed by the Spirit of Shiro Tagachi. This being a huge accomplishment and as such raising the “bar” for representation in the Tahnnakai Temple quite high! as such there is a chance that no assassin has ever been able to “outclass” Vizu. (including Nika and Miku)

Vizu, the Assassin representative has a chance of having been replaced by another hero, together with all other spirits, including Togo.

Of course they get cycled out. Would be neat if she was still there though. And even if she wasn’t, it would be neat to see who else had cycled in over time (and what they did to get there). See how the standard definition of ‘heroic deed’ may have changed over time.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

I don’t want to sound too evil but I’d love to see them suffer.

This goes for humans as well, the humans are said to be in a tiresome war with the Centaurs among others, they have lost all but one last city (save Ebonhawke) and were often described as struggling.

Yet within the walls of Divinity’s Reach this isn’t to be noticed at all.
Caudecus’ funding of the festivities in Divinity’s Reach keep many of its citizens blind to the supposed pain and suffering outside the walls of the great city.
But venture out of these walls and you won’t notice THAT much suffering. Sure you see centaurs attacking human settlements, but do you experience any despair?
I believe most players don’t even notice the war unless someone points it out.
They see centaurs attacking the settlements and keeps, they see centaur camps, they see human slaves, but do they see the human fear?

I think Elona can offer us this anguish.
Palawa Joko is a tyrant, an amazingly well written villain in control of the continent.
Joko truly decides who lives and who dies solely to become another of his undead servants.

Thought Elona was bad during Nightfall? You don’t know how fearsome a tyrant can be.
A famine would be horrible but a famine enforced by the will of a single being is utterly terrifying! Not even the Sunspears could stop Palawa Joko, I wonder who can?

(Not to mention Palawa being strong enough to fight a war with 2 Elder Dragons (Zhaitan and Kralkatorrik) at the same time, a feat we couldn’t even dream of. Zhaitan being dead however, I wonder what happened to the war with Kralkatorrik. Did Joko gain the upper hand? Is Kralkatorrik already defeated? AND THE SKINS…..all the excite for oriental based skins.

I know you don’t mean any offense but Oriental is considered an offensive term, Far East Asian is the preferred term.

Anyway, yes Cantha themed things! :D Masteries include learning martial arts skills (automatically unlocked in sPvP) to be able to harm certain opponents (needed to fight the area’s dragon since it’s his weakness), skateboarding, and elite specs including ninja for warrior (offhand dagger is his weapon and is the warrior’s version of daredevil with some stealth and three endurance bars) and monk for thief which will only two endurance bars but access to great healing and CC skills that use initiative with skills similar to druid. The monk would have barehands which will have ascended mender’s stats and skill 1 is a punching rotation while skill 2 is tiger claw (kung-foo skill…ugh I hate intentionally misspelling things to circumvent filters -_-) and skill 3 is a roundhouse. Skills 4 and 5 (left hand empty) are chi wave for 4, similar to druid’s staff autoattack but wider and stronger (consumes initiative so makes sense) and bare hands 5, which is a PBAoE that functions like Ventari’s cleanse tablet skill but washes all conditions but for heavy initiative cost. Monk’s elite skill will be a bicycle kick that is similar to UA in function but hits more often and goes through block.

Ninja dagger 5 will grant the warrior/ninja stealth but sword/dagger will only be similar to thief sword/dagger from the dagger side, sword skills are still warrior sword skills.

As for PvP I’d add a big 8v8 sPvP mode that’s a big map with lots of terrain features but no siege or NPC’s. You need to channel at certain points to progress to the central fort where channeling plants your team’s flag declaring victory. Not only channel but stop the other team from channeling too. Also a 20v20 mode where it has mechanics similar to before but instead of one fort you need to channel at the opponent’s fort and the extra people are so a team can agree who is on the offensive or defensive teams (which would switch as circumstances demand so you aren’t committed to offense or defense per se) and also with lots of environmental features like choke points.

This goes for humans as well, the humans are said to be in a tiresome war with the Centaurs among others, they have lost all but one last city (save Ebonhawke) and were often described as struggling.

That reminds me, all the above about Cantha would be in the second part of the expansion while the first would focus on the Woodland Cascades then transition to Cantha. The goal of the first part of the expansion is kill off all the centaurs ending with the centaur king begging for his life and the playable character kicking him a cliff saying, “You don’t deserve mercy!” especially if it’s a human PC while another race would say, “To prove I value my alliance with the humans I must do this.”

^ There’s always at least one. :P
I agree that A-net should focus on improving what we currently have before rolling out expansion after expansion.

But this is but a mere innocent thread of what we’d dream of seeing in a future expansion.
“When” is not stated.
Who knows, the OP might have meant:
“an expansion after GW2 + GW2:HoT are completely fixed.”!
This wasn’t stated and as such can’t be argued about or used in an argument, it’s simply off-topic.
Like, I guess, many of my posts are as well.
(as such I mean no personal offence, just thought it was funny to notice how there’s always someone with your exact reply )

From google:
Etymologically-speaking, “oriental” is hardly pejorative, deriving from a French term which basically translates to “Eastern” (and still exists as French “orientale“). In other words, one might describe it as a Latinate antonym of “Westerner,” a term which Europeans and Americans take little offense at.

Mind you…there’s plenty of sites arguing the reverse, and what it boils down to is anyone can take something and get offended at it, depending on how sensitive they are about certain things.

Also, if said in a hostile manner..yes, just about any word can become offensive as well.

I’d certainly hope it was obvious I meant no harm in my use of it.

I also don’t think “Oriental” is bad. There are even potato chips with that flavour “Oriental”. Or “Oriental Carpets” shops.

Whatever, I’d like to be able to join the Inquest. This morale stuff is annoying. They have Plunka and I prefer her over Zojja. I do not want to be forced to be on the pseudo-good side. And let’s already get rid off the rats (Skritt). AFAIK, Charr would like to help…

I know you meant no harm but the term usually suggests exclusion and foreignness and in the past has been used deliberately to emphasize those points with the implication of the “other” not belonging. I’m personally not fond of the term Asian since Asia is a huge place that includes places as diverse as Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, and lots of other countries making it too vague but isn’t offensive. England and America also use the terms quite differently too, when an American says Asian you know they mean someone from the Far East whereas if an English newspaper uses the term they could be talking about someone Middle Eastern. It’s preferable to use the specific country or even regions within that country (China alone is quite diverse culturally ranging from Uyghurs to Han and others) but usually isn’t necessary given how general (but not too general) topics are.

Uh, never seen that in my 30 years of living in England. If it’s someone Middle Eastern, they say Middle Eastern. We tend to use the term Asian in print to class those from further east but that can include Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi etc as well. A highly popular food takeaway site in the UK has the option for people to list their businesses as ‘Oriental’ as well as the options for Chinese/Thai/Japanese, and 99% of the businesses list themselves as ‘Oriental’ as well as whatever cuisine they specialise in. Most of them are run by Chinese/Japanese/Thai people too so… I guess that’s why it’s not such a big deal to some people as there’s a lot who will self-identify as ‘Oriental’. Then there’s ‘oriental lilies’ which haven’t been renamed as a type. One could argue that the term ‘European’ is equally as offensive as there are many diverse cultures in Europe but we tend to get lumped together in one big mass. It’s all about intent and I personally see the terms as general descriptors of ethnicity when one doesn’t know the exact country of origin.

Back on topic:
I’d love to see Cantha in GW2-shininess myself. The last thing I did in GW1 before I made my shift across was Winds of Change. Factions was my favourite expansion and I’d love to know what’s going on over there now. Ideally I’d love to see a bit of lore expansion for humans who said they were of Canthan descent.

I was going to write something until I read your and it became my dream :P. lol but srsly out of the current map, Woodland Cascades. Out of the whole thing, I’d love to go northeast. This would be after the entire rest of the world (assuming this game is like WOW and goes far enough to need another world, or you could just not to that part) but the elder dragons have been dead for idk, a decade and we’ve dealt with almost every other major threat in the entire world. But then we hear another roar, only it’s so much louder than the other dragons is reaches across the whole world. Having explored 90% of the world, we know it must be coming from the area around “Not Real” We journey through Olympus and Foundry to reach Not Real, which is a massive hub of ley line, chaos, draconic, and any other magic that has resulted in extremely dangerous land (looks volcanic) here we find a soul dragon that sucked up the other 6 dragons as they died (here’s your excuse to make the others lame, Anet as long as you stick around for this xpac) and has stolen all their powers and memories. But this dragon is not a force of nature, but an INSANELY intelligent being, and knows 6 ways the other dragons tried that won’t work. He has all of their powers, all of their minions, and his own minions. We begin seeing natural disasters like hurricanes (DSD powers), earthquakes (Primordus), etc and all of their minions as well. Also note that since magic is so connected and present there, this dragon is EXTREMELY powerful, but also that the interdimensional/planetary divide is thin, and perhaps this dragon is from another world (if you want this could get your another world Anet) . Also your chance to go crazy with weird enemies, and if you don’t ever take us to the world, not explain them! Anyway, this dragon is basically all the others, soul powers, and controls a massive region of the world with epic towers, citadels, etc epic stuff. Also could go into next world because how else do we know more of them won’t show up? Or could use those natural disasters to remake this world and bring back enemies. See the map in color and where Not Real is

Cantha/Elona will never happen, so theres absolutely no point in it to wish for it, just wasted time…

My dream Expansion of right now would be this:

New Playable Race: Tengus
Story: We go next after Kralkatorrik, deep story with a multiple path story on the same quality as like Person Story where we went against Zhaitan with a new kind of “Mission System” where we can play if we want our Story also together with a large group of say 19-24 other players that we have to command to get the feeling, that we are a Commander here, that is commanding troops and where the group has to split up and do several tasks at the same time, so that these kind of story elements become more challenging (but still soloable if you want to do it just with NPCs that replace players if you have no big group ready, but where the whole intention is to play these story missions as big group, because then they make alot more FUN, than when doign them alone and where replaying them and helping others is also rewarding, so that people will want to help others out constantly also too, because of getting this way something as reward, you can get only from Story Missions)

New Region: Crystal Desert consisting out of 9 new explorable Story Maps
- Dunes of Despair
- Amnoon Oasis (New Town Map)
- The Forgotten Lands (Raid Map)
- Salt Flats
- Skyward Reach
- The Arid Sea
- Crystal Crater
- Sanctum Cay (Tengu Racial Town)
- Dominion of the Winds (Tengu Starter Map Lvl 1-25) (merged with Claw Island and the floating Wizard Castle)

Elite Specializations Set 2
- Bard (Mesmer) – Dual Warhorns
- Legionnaire (Warrior) – Tower Shields
- Summoner (Elementalist) – Gauntlets or Chakrams
- Beastlord (Ranger) – Whips
- Inquisitor (Guardian) – Halberds
- Occultist (Necromancer) – Torch
- Alchemist (Engineer) – Axes
- Rogue (Thief) – Longbow
- Ritualist (Revenant) – Scepter

New Weapon Types added:
- Tower Shields (Bigger MH Shields) (or simply Shields, current Shields renamed to Bucklers)
- Whips
- Gauntlets(Magic Gloves)/ Chakrams based on what style fits better
- Halberds

Weapon Baselining for existing Core Classes:
- Offhand Sword baselined for Thief
- Mainhand Pistol baselined for Mesmer
- Mainhand Dagger baselined for Ranger
- Offhand Scepter baselined for Elementalist
- Offhand Scepter baselined for Necromancer
- Offhand Sword baselined for Guardian
- Offhand Torch baselined for Warrior (redesign Berserker around Greataxe)
- Mainhand Axe baselined for Revenant
- Mainhand Shield (Buckler) baselined for Engineer
Features:

  • 1-2 New Stronghold Maps
  • 1-2 New PvP Maps
  • Return of Alpine Borderland WvW Map redesigned that will get switched out from this point on then weekly on rotation with the Desert Borderlands
  • New Expanded Central Tyria Masteries:
    - Crafting Arts Mastery (enables to craft undestroyable Equipment, improves Crafting Exp for not maxed out Crafting Jobs and more, enables to craft accountbound Ascended Runes, Sigils and Gemstones to make equipping upgrades for PvE as easy as like in PvP once you unlocked the Upgrades for your Account this way )
    - Gathering Mastery (unlocks new Gathering Methods for Fishing and Digging and improves the gains of general gathering materials, allows you to gather more ofteny from nodes and so on)
    - Dungeon Mastery (increases Token Gains, unlocks new rewards like Ascended Weapon/Armor sets, and so on)
    - Heroic Movements (decreases significantly Fall Damage to the point, that we receive nearly none anymore, so that Fall Damage Traits can get removed and replaced with better traits, unlocks new Character Moves to give us more style while we move to let us lock more epic, to fall flat on the belly when gettign fall damage is just so disgraceful to look at, unlocks other Movements, like Side Flips and Saltos for our Dodges to enhance our Dodge Rolls, Increases Jump Heigth to allow us to jump 50% higher and so on, alot of possibilities here)
    - Rework of most of the current “World Bosses” by degrading them to Grand Champions and adding for the 7-8 degraded Bosses some real World Boss worthy enemies of the same quality of Tequatl/TT to various Central Tyria Maps, especialy those, that have seen since Game Release until today no attention at all, like for example Timberline Falls, like Fireheart Rise, like Fields of Ruin, like Dredgehaunt Cliffs, like Iron Marches, like Harathi Hinterlands and also Southsun Cove needs direly a rework, the map is way too empty and way too boring with only the Karka Queen being its only attraction and reason for why ypou want to be there for the while it needs to kill it…otherwise these is absolutely nothing interesting at all …
  • Introduction of some super old outdated Black Lion Weapon Sets as baselined Ingame Rewards, starting with the very first 3 Sets by addign for those Weapon Sets kind of Achievement similar to the Precursor Achievement,s that you can earn the skins of you do alot of other thigns in the game to earn yourself this way these skins which will most likely never return again to be buyable for only 1 ticket, so that players get finally also a way to earn those skins through effort that isn’t just pure gold grinding and buying from TP..because alot of those skins are already sold long for a very long time – so people who would like to complete the Weapon Skin Collection Achievements can’t do this, if there does’t come somehow new skins of them into the game. So its neccessary that these older skins should become somewhen finalyl also earnable for players as Anet anyways puts into the game consntaly total new skin sets, they will anyways never run out of gemstore stuff that will be bought by players, so there shouldnt be a problem with it when they begin now to add the super old skins as earnable rewards, to give players again a chance to unlock these skins too if they are willing to put the efforts for them into the game like working on a precursor…
  • Build Template System
  • Rework of the LFG-Tool
  • New added Guild Hall Maps in Central Tyria
  • Return of the District System to allow players easier to switch between Zone Instances of the same Map for when you get into a full map, that you can see how many districts your map zone as a kind of solution against all this constant “Taxi” spam in LFG, making it easier for players to move self into the districts where they are needed together with symbols that show, how many commanders on a district are
  • Living Phases – Every Map can be affected now by Living Phases, means older content like the Orr Maps will change now also over time and based on your Character’s Progression in the Game will you phase also into different Map Versions when you enter them. However, with the help of the returned District System will be players also able to return back in tiem to revisit the older map versions
  • New Fractals – The Exodus (Abaddon Fractal), Battle of Lions Arch Fractal (Including Assault Knights), Scarlet’s Airship Boss Fractal, Marionette Invasion Fractal, Marionette Boss Battle Fractal
  • Heroic Fractals (New Solo Fractal Content Type similar to Bonus Mission Pack) starting with the Ghosts of Ascalon Fractal
  • Dungeon Crawlers (New non story Raid Dungeons that are everytime you enter then different, starting with the Tower of Destiny, a 100 Floor Dungeon Crawler with bosses on every 10th floor)
  • Battlefields (New GvG PvP Maps especially made for Guild Battles designed for combats larger than 5v5, more like 25v25 or 50v50 or 100v100)
  • Hunting Grounds (Special Time gated Farm Maps with lots of unique huge creatures to hunt, that you will see only there. Literally places, that give you a kind of Monster Hunter Feeling) – starting with the Woodland Cascades north of Destiny’s Reach becoming a huge deep and misty forrest based Hunting Ground that will be open for farm every weekend from saturday start to sunday end for 48hours
  • Guild Crusades – new improved and bigger Guild Missions, that require larger amounts of players than 15 or so to be done and are more like unique Guild Missions where you have to defeat armies of enemies strategetically, while making also usage of siege weapons and war tactics, while beign lead by your guild commander/leader/officers (this brings basically “Invasions” back to various maps, but this time just with more depth behind it, than just killing mindlessly only waves after waves of enemies without any strategy)
  • Jeweler 500, Chef 500
  • Legendary Accessoires with the introduction of a new “Skill Skin System” enabling you to exchange out the Designs of your Weapon, Healing, Utility and Elite Skills out based on which Skill Skins you use actively with Legendary Accessoires unlocking for your Account new Skill Skin Sets.
You want that your Necromancer Minions should look different, more liek the original GW1 Mininions?, change out the Skill Skin Set for Necromancer Minions with the “Legacy Skill Skin Set” to make your Minions turn into GW1 Style Minions for example.

Flesh Golem will become alot more bony like in GW1
Bone Fiend will turn the two small rats into 2 Hellhounds/2 Bone Sharks underwater for example
The Devourer will get turned into a Bone Drake
and so on

For elementalists you can change your elementals into elemental beasts, turning for example your Fire Elenmental into a summoned majestic big Fire Phoenix, turning your Wind Elemental insto a majestic big Storm Kirin inspired by FFX’s Ixion and so on …

Minions are the easiest Skill Skins for the introduction of the System.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

We reform the Bloodstone and nuke all remaining elder dragons in one go, this massive burst of magic tears open portals to the mists and the human Gods return and Queen Jennah stops making public appearances, Countess Anise sits on the throne in her stead – she is actually leader of the White Mantel and restarts the war against the Charr, the Asura side immediately with the humans seeing their Gods have returned.

We then march with unseen allies against the Charr and purge them from Ascalon, Charr players can reroll or play “rock breaking simulator” in a detention camp. Once we have Ascalon back we can allow Charr who reject their barbaric species to re-enter human society (of course leaving an unseen guard with them to make sure they don’t betray us).

The Underworld and Fissure reopen and Anise sits with her pet baby dragon on high in Divinity’s Reach and we think it good.

I’ve included my own brief expansion “pitch” as an example, but I want to see what other ideas are out there!

Guild Wars 2: Factions

How’s this: (though I tried not to step on the toes of the Cantha pitch and so left out some ideas I think work well in yours)

Guild Wars 2: Echoes of the Isles

Summary
With recent victories against the Elder Dragons, hope has risen among the races of Tyria that victory may be possible against these insurmountable foes. Yet with hope comes complacency, and complacency is followed by vulnerability. A devastating attack from below stuns humanity’s bastion of Divinity’s Reach, and those that oppose Queen Jennah and the royal line are only too willing to twist things to their benefit. The simmering Krytan political situation erupts into chaos as the cult of the White Mantle returns with new allies from Janthir and other lands north of humanity’s last bastion, offering assistance that seems far too good to be true. Can humanity and the other races of Tyria afford to let go of old grievances and tradition in favor of the Destroyers’ resurgence under Kryta? Or is there something worse still that lies northward and in the broad smiles of the White Mantle?

Features
New magics meet long-forgotten ones as the battle lines blur and fresh danger threatens the horizon. Some of the deepest secrets of the Shining Blade, the White Mantle, and the dwarves will come to light in a new line of elite specializations such as the Sniper, the Scout, and the Paragon, while the Elementalist takes up the sword and dances up to the front lines by tapping into the power of winds, earth, and spirit as the Dervish!

PvE
Venture from the political machinations in back rooms of Divinity’s Reach out into the world, and explore the wetlands, bays, and mysterious Isle of Janthir to the north, and follow a trail of suspicion even to the inhospitable Ring of Fire Islands to find the truth. And then, once the situation on the surface is resolved, delve into the honeycombed caverns beneath the ill-fated Crown Pavilion and face the oncoming Destroyers and their master Primordus!
Explore brand new landscapes of fire and mist, coupled with new seafaring combat upon Janthir Bay and off the Tarnished Coast and brand new enemies!

WvW

The creak of rigging and the smell of sea air reaches even into the mists, with the new three-way Coastal map! Defend your world’s seaside keep and bring your mighty Galleon into furious naval combat as a capturable mobile fortress bristling with cannon, or claim your enemies’ Galleons and bombard their Keeps!

lol @ fenom

yeah, I still have alot of visions for this game.. GW2 still has so extreme much unused potential to become a much better and depthful game, than it currently is for over 3 years now…

And this is just the beginning. could come up with alot more, but that would be just the stuff that I’d put into the game for a Kralkatorrik/Crystal Desert- Expansion as a mixture of new content, fleshing out existing content and using the new foundations that Anet gave us with Heart of Thorns from where we should build on and where they have said self, that they will use it as new horizontal character progression from now on.
So basically more Elite Specializations, new Weapon Skills coming from new ES and more new Masteries are for me personally now always pretty much a guaranteed setted thing that should be always inside of a new expansion from now on.

Most other thigns I named here are a mixture of my ideas from the past and some wished features by the community, that we are wishing for since game release and still aren’t in the game, like a proper build template system that makes it possible to change out builds quickly outside of combat that we saved up for our characters so that just a simlple press of the template button is enough to instantly change out all our equipment, traits and skilsl ect. without that we have to change out over minutes everything 1 by 1 manually anymore.

Jeweler 500 and Chef 500 are also already very long overdue just to say and demanded by the community pretty much since job level 500 got introduced by Anet … imo they shouldnt have been so lazy with that and directly implemented with all other job level 500 crafting jobs those of these two jobs together from begin on..
I can see still absolutely no reason for it, why they have left these two crafting jobs out for soo long time …

It really does surprise me how many better ideas I see come from mere players than ever come close to being implemented by the devs. I’ve sat in a circle with friends and spent hours going over how we could have made Heart of Thorns better with really no additional strain on resources. Which, to be honest, might be the flaw in your grandiose (but awesome, mind) concept.

I feel like Crystal Desert would be a great place to go next expansion, for a lot of the reasons you gave, although I think that the Blood Legion Homelands could be included with the same release, since it’s still Kralkatorrik-aligned, and a dual focus on the charr and on Elonian/Ascension human history would overcome the issue in which Heart of Thorns’ best racial fit was sylvari and all the others took a simultaneous backseat. All this being said, though, I wonder whether it’s likely/wise to go into more desert/wasteland after all the similar themes that have shown up in Maguuma.
