Empryeal Fragments
Do silverwastes chest farms or do dungeons. You get tons of them from doing dungeons.
You get lots of them from dungeons and no dragonite.
Apparently I need a dungeon guild..
You can try LFG tool too.
I have had very little luck getting through dungeons in a timely manner with random people. When I play with people that are familiar with the Dungeon I can do more Dungeons. I have few hours to spend on Dungeons. I don’t want to spend them failing Dungeons..
I used to have that problem. Then I played in Silverwastes, just played. I’ve never done chestfarming. Soon I had too many of the previously scarce things.
I haven’t found too much to do in the silver wastes, because the events usually end quickly and I wait pretty long intervals trying to get them to start so it takes a lot of time.
So advertise your dungeon runs as speedruns to get a group that clears it in “a timely manner”?
If I had a dollar for every time someone complained about getting the “wrong” people in lfg while not properly advertising their group, I could buy myself that Porsche I want in at least two different colours…
Edit: World boss chests have fragments, too, as well as open world and jumping puzzle chests.

Did you try eotm?
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.

Seriously, there’s no shortage of any of these three resources. I just leveled my main up to 450 Huntsman from nothing mainly so I could clear out my inventory. I had over 600 of each of these things, so it was nice having the extra 10 slots freed up. I do a bit of everything though, so I suppose that is more the reason why I see all 3. Also, world boss farming can get you a good amount of gold if you sell the loot, so that’s a nice bonus.
In the Silverwastes, pick a fort and defend it.
During the defense, you have an event.
If a wall falls down, you get an event to fix it.
If a wall doesn’t fall down, you can go help the caravan event.
Basically, by sticking around a fort you’ve got a constant stream of events at all times.
I don’t find eotm very fun.. I advertise “speed run with exp players”. People don’t care. Half the time they have no idea what they are supposed to do. The other half of the time they won’t work together and we get wiped repeatedly… I did World Boss Train and out of like 7 Bosses I got 0 Empryeal Fragments. Tons of Dragonite Ore and Bloodstone Dust though. Jumping Puzzles give me an average of 2 Empyreal fragments.
They also drop from JP chests so running the easy ones on a daily basis with all your characters will give you more than enough.
If you can hold out in SW, fragments come thick and fast. I’m swimming in them from the last couple of months. And yes JP’s are a good tip too.
You will never get Emperyal Fragments from world bosses. General rule Large group content (world bosses) – Dragonite, small group content (dungeons, jumping puzzles, open world chests) – Emperyal Fragments, Champ bags = Bloodstone Dust.
I just need tons of it for armor but it’s hard to get… It’s annoying. But if I can find a Dungeon guild I could prolly get em.
I’ve been doing Silver Wastes for about a week made over 100g, enough ascended mats to make every item and then some. Although I delete all the ascended mats I get, but it’s still a good way to farm.

Out of curiosity, how many hours did you play during that time? I do Silverwastes when I don’t have anything better to do, but either I’m very unlucky with my loot, or it’s just not enough time to get anywhere near 100g/week.

I get like 6 hours a day to play if I don’t do anything else, and I might make 1-2 gold in that time…

Just like EotM but less running.
And no falling to your death..
Dungeons, Silverwastes Farming and Edge of The Mists train.. easy to get tons of them doing these things daily
And no falling to your death..
Back when I needed it, I parked several alts at some easy chests that paid out the higher tier of fragments (each chest has it’s own range of fragments, I found Morgan’s Spiral to be a great one for this) and just went through each of the alts each day, opening and depositing the fragments.
Be sure to bring some salvage kits along though, as you’re going to fill up on blues and greens if you don’t.

You can always jump into Heart of the Mists for that.
It used to be a problem for me, but then I started going to Silverwastes.
Anyways, a method I did use to farm Empyreal was through world chests, if you follow this map you can make a good chunk of them, especially in Harathi Hinterlands.
They said you cant get them from world boss train
They said you cant get them from world boss train
World chests, not world bosses.
Many maps have chests in them that aren’t Jumping Puzzle related.
Haven’t found many of those…
Haven’t found many of those…
Things like in Sparkfly Fen: there’s a chest behind a veteran Ooze near a vista. There’s one back in the Nightmare court cave down near Flamefrog in Diresight Caverns (around the POI), There is another one in the center of Aleem’s Pennace guarded by a Vet Risen, and up in the Shattered Keep there are two hidden there. Those are the non-jumping puzzle chests in that one zone.
Every zone (I think) has at least one hidden somewhere and some are easier to get to than others. I know the ones in Sparkfly best since I’ve explored the most there waiting for Teq.
Edit: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_basic_chests There’s a good list of the various chests around Tyria.
I need efficient chests. not 2 empryeal fragments per chest..
Then you’ll want to find a dungeon group. You’ll get 20 fragments per dungeon path (per day) in addition to the gold and other drops in the dungeon.
Okay, here’s the thing: You won’t get those fragments in bulk. You can get them like everyone else, or you don’t.
Most fragments at once you’ll get in dungeons, and if you don’t want to do that, your only option is collecting a handful at a time. “Efficient” chests, where you get 20 or more at a time, simply don’t exist.
One last option might be PvP, but that also takes time.
Kaerleikur @ Elonaspitze
20 is a heck of a lot compared to 2.. Plus i get dragonite up to 35 each time fighting bosses..
Go to Sikverwastes.
Look in LFG for Bandit Chest train.
Open Bandit Chests.
Do this for a bit and you will have more ascended mats than you will ever need.
I’ve been doing Silver Wastes for about a week made over 100g, enough ascended mats to make every item and then some. Although I delete all the ascended mats I get, but it’s still a good way to farm.

I usually play for around 2-3 hours a day. If you use the looking for party system, people advertise their world to get more people for the VineWrath. I search for ones that have started instead of waiting 18 minutes to start again.
Apparently I need a dungeon guild..
I pug speedruns just fine. If people aren’t experienced and join my experienced run I kick them.
you get 20-35 for what is it the 3 dragons d tripple wurm the rest are lower by far.
And you do not get less fragments from running same path of dungeon more then once a day you just get less coin and dungeon tokens.
I’ve been getting bucket loads of dust, ore and frags in SW. I’ve been feeding the Star and Mawdrey on a steady diet. Ore is a bigger problem. I toss it out whenever I get a full stack. In SW, there is a steady stream of ore so if I need more for ascended crafting, I can always make some ingots, though I’ve made plenty of those already.
I’ve found that empyreal drops a bit more infrequently compared to dust and ore though. But when it drops, it’s in decent sized piles. I suggest hitting every event, even the smaller “Clear the mordrem out” ones that float about.
Whenever a map restarts and I’m up for it, I run off to a tower with my tag and start doing the defense. At the same time, I advertise on LFG that a new map is starting and I’m going for Breach and VW. People that are interested will flock in. Eventually other commanders will arrive to help coordinate.
Am I the only one who has noticed that you can get tons of Dragonite Ore & Bloodstone Dust in large proportions, yet Empryeal Fragments are in tiny increments? I run with zergs in WvWvW and I do tons of jumping puzzles per day. So why is it I get an over abundance of the others and only get like maybe 35 Empryeal Fragments a day from doing hours of work to get them and I can make hundreds of Dragonite Ore and Bloodstone Dust in minutes of work.. Why isn’t the availability equal across the board? With the new Ascended items that consume these Ascended Crafting Materials, why aren’t they more readily available? I need thousands of Empryeal Fragments and I have millions of the other two. Can’t Anet raise the amount you get from doing the events that they are available from? The stats are very low in getting them.
It is equal, I have over 70,000 emp fragments, they are far to easy to get in wvw.
SW chest farm gets you massive ammounts of these fragments.
You also get the Obsidian Shards to refine them along the way.
