Okay so I know a lot of veteran players aren’t going to see this as an issue because i’m sure you guys have several thousand of these things just sitting there laying around but as a new player someone who recently started getting into gw2 and is now working on their ascended gear for raids I can tell you that there is something wrong here.

Empyreal fragments when compared to bloodstone dust and Dragonite ore is way to hard to obtain.

1. The removal of chests from guild missions

You used to get a decent chunk of these from guild missions because of the chests but now this is not the case because you guys removed them

2. Bandit Chests

I was farming them from bandit chests but last night i’ve started to notice that i’m not getting nearly as many as before and i’ve been getting a really horrible dragonite streak from 12 + chests in a row… it’s frustrating

The only item I need to finish my ascended gear are the vision crystals and the only item I need to make the vision crystals are empyreal stars… but I can’t seem to get them because you guys barely gave us a way to farm these as easily as bloodstone and dragonite.

My suggestion?

Maybe add them to the chests in the HoT maps. The ones that need crowbars, Chak Acid, Exalted keys, machetes.

These would be a perfect remedy for this problem add empyreal to the drop table of these (maybe not noxious pods because of crystalline ore) and it’d make things MUCH more tolerable for new players to play catch up with finishing their ascended gear.

Please let me know what you guys think or if anyone has any suggestions? Maybe Anet can take a look at this and help us out by adding them to the HoT map chests.

Theres plenty in Eotm/WvW and some from JP chests – maybe park the chars you dont use much at an easy JP chest to farm it each day.

That’s the problem i’m trying to address. We should be able to obtain them while playing naturally. Just like Dragonite and Bloodstone already are

You can get empyral fragments out of every chest on the map, not just jump puzzle.

They rain down from doing WvW if you should want to give that a try.

(And there nothing ‘natural’ about playstyles that generate Bloodstone or Dragonite, they just happen to come from thing you choose to do a lot.)

You can .. every map has approx 3-5 small chests scattered around which you can loot plus jump puzzle chests, plus some from event rewards, bandit chests, WvW and then EotM has always been a fast way to accumulate them….

A guildy of mine was a couple of hundred short for his last few Ascended pieces the other night so we just ran a some chests for an hour.. and it was done without having to do anything other than play normally.
