why cant these drop more.

Are you serious? I have 2 bank tabs full of these things and I’m barely getting through them with the Empyreal Fragments eater I earned from Wintersday.

I actually had to stop playing content to earn less Empyreal Fragments than my eater could consume.

I had the same problem, that the rate I could craft ascended weapons at was basically determined by the vision crystal I received monthly from the chest of loyalty. I also got that fragment eating star at Wintersday and thought I could never use it.

Then I started playing in the Silverwastes and opened a few chests, and was literally bombarded with Empyreal fragments.

It’s the easiest way to get them, I suggest you try it

LOL, I usually destroy/consume 250-500 of those every day.

hard to farm ? wth, i throw them just like that . if only i have option to remove them from my loot table.

You also get a few in each of the chests in the starter areas; getting your main and your lvl 80 alts to farm these every day is quick and easy – and they’ll build up pretty fast.

Definitely Silverwastes for those. Chest farm is not the most interesting thing in the world but it does drown you in those fragments (as well as other lootz).

These fragments, dusts and whatnot should not be pink colour coded… they should be grey.

You can also get them from WvW. Quite easily

I remember when I thought it was hard work to get these along with dragonite. Both are really easy to farm up. I really need to go and get princess so I can use up the bank tab I have of dragonite.

I don’t have problem getting these but they do feel like the rarest of the 3.

I seem to be deleting the very many EF’s I get, so I’m wondering if the presented issue isn’t so much impatience rather than any rarity.

Dragonite is only rare if you have wb allergies. I only do those occasionally these days but they still refill my dragonite supply extremely fast.

Guys, hes just talking about the drop rate in relation to the other two. Yes Empyreal does drop less, around 1/3 usually. It can get annoying if you are crafting a lot of ascended stuff.

Man idk what you guys talking about but I got little to no Drag Ore. I mainly do WvW related content and as far as I know… capping a keep gives you around 20-ish drag ore. :/ Not much.

As for Emp Frags and Bloodstone…. dear god I am DROWNING in that stuff. It’s crazy. Wish I could give OP some of mine.

The majority of players tend to stick to open world PvE and simply play through the game. In this case, the only source for these fragments are chests and jumping puzzles, making them the hardest to acquire, especially when you’re only given a few at a time.

Clearly you did not participate in Wintersday, I got five stacks of the things from only a week’s worth of playing it.

You should be more specific about what content you are participating in, that does not have ready access to them.

Every month or two, someone makes a post about one of the ascended unrefined mats being hard to obtain and people jump up and say, no, see: it’s one of the other two that’s hard to obtain; I have way too much of the others.

And it turns out, everyone’s correct: each item drops from specific content. If you constantly repeat that content, you’ll see too much of the one and not enough of the others. Whereas the next person in the guild roster might do tons of some other content, and feel that they have too much of something else.

The solution is the same: do different types of content, after looking at the wiki to see the sources.

I want LESS Emp Fragments really.

It seriously never occurred to you to google “Empyreal Fragment Farming” before posting this?

As I’m sure you can see above, the problem is not getting them. The problem is storing the bloody things!

All 3 of those ascended mats need to have their drop rate reduced. I got well over 3k of each, I think almost 4k of the EF. I have to farm the SW for crests every now and then to get the obsidian shards to refine them so I don’t fill more than 1 bank tab.

OP is doing something wrong.

Exactly! he’s playing the content he wants and not what Anet wants.

Empyreal Fragments are only available in certain content.
I bet he is destroying tons of Bloodstone, like you are destroying Empyreals.

There should be a roll to determine whether you get Empyreal, Bloodstone or Dragonite.

• WB is “world boss”;
• wb is “welcome back”

they are also a pain to spend :P
