Enable dyeable aqua breathers!
I rather that they just remove aqua breathers.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
I’ve noticed this little bug / glitch / whatever it is as well.
The dye channels are obviously there on the Aquabreathers for this to work at all. I mean, they dye perfectly, there’s no overlapping colors and its not your breather is just getting overlayed with your colored helmet texture or anything. It acts just like you could actually dye them. So really, why are they not dyeable? I know underwater combat is criminally negletcted as a whole, but why not at least include a dye function for breathers when they’re clearly made for it?

I’d rather they remove water combat all together.
We need more than that. Why do I care about dying something I can’t get better than rare quality?

Consider that there’s an aquabreather that uses plain helm armor skins. There is indeed no reason why those items cannot be dyed.
What about being able to craft level 80 aqua breathers?

Same. Aqua breathers are just useless in the game. Nothing happens if you take them off or play with a broken one. They are probably a remnant of a pre beta stage.
Tbh i’d just like it b/c it’s a neat little thing. I don’t do underwater combat that much, but it would be a neat little addition when I do go underwater. It’s obvious that it isn’t that hard to enable either, since we can use a glitch to dye our breathers. The shading seems to be already in place.

They do however replace your helmet when underwater so you can’t have a complete rune set if you don’t have one.
