THEY NEED TO DO THIS ASAP. IMO they should just do what betheseda is doing for their crappy wow clone The elder scrolls online, they need a mega server, im lvl 80 and getting very bored, i cant party up and do events in orr because my server (which is the most populated server out of all of them) doesnt go their, i cant just team up with epople in a random zone and play together because no one is out in the world, everyone is only doing fotm, all dungeons are dead, only dungeons ive done is c.m and a.c and twilgiht and forget about doing story modes on all dungeons, even using gw2lfg.com you wont be able to. No one does story mode, its a shame that i will never be able to do dungeons other then a.c because fotm came out right when i started unlocking the higher level dungeons.

Lost shore is boring because i have to solo it since no one goes their – And this is on the most populated server

Other then wvw theirs nothing for me to do, i dont do spvp and tpvp because they ruined the immersion of character to pvp in this game by making the armor different having no lore for tpvp and spvp and just making it a no story red vs blue thing.

Which is a shame because they could have easily made you bring in your own pvp armor and made it so doing stuff in pvp unlocks usable pve stuff and vice – versa, but no they decided to not do that in the name of becoming an e-sport. Its a shame.

So mainly we need a way to make players play more end game lvl 80 content, besides fractals and wvw.

We also need a more fun and dynamic never ending form of endgame, expand upon wvw but also i’d like to see more story / lore driven pvp (wvwish) and pve hyrbrids,

Think factions people, for those who havnt played it, directly in the story you had to choose between two teams, this made you able to do a new type of pvp that put two different lore friendly teams or factions against eachother in a constant war.

Lore and Story driven “Factionesque” pvp/pve)

Please make another factions like expansion pack that is more geared towards engame content.
Perhaps make us choose between two factions and perhaps even make it good vs EVIl!
And then make their be a constant war in ceraint zones, and when you enter your fair game for the other faction, yes similair to wvw but it will actually have a story to it and would be connected to the main tyria map.

This is how i think they should have handled wvw in the first place, pitting two or multiple factions that have a back story so it gives us a REASON to fight eachother, I would like this form of pvp / pve be more immersive, thats my main gripe with gw2 tpvp and spvp, its just so un immersive since they wanted it to be an e-sport.

But EVEN WvW isn’t totally immersive, we dont kno why were fighting we have no reaosn to fight, theirs no real good rewards for winning the battles, the battles dont have a major impact on the playerbase.

In this new proposed pve/wvw hyrbrid i’d like to see a lot of computer enemies and teamtes on each team and i mean LOTS so us real players feal like the heros, making whoever “wins” or perhaps whoever is “winning” have a major impact on the world.

Also it wouldnt hurt to make whoever is winning or wins, get rewards that ammount to gold, perhaps we capture enemies gold mine, which gives everyone who compensated gold, and reduces the price of items for held time for said faction by 25 percent.

Give them time. Most mmo’s take a long long time to get their “endgame” up and running as it is perceived by many players. We all know there are issues atm and anet have acknowledged that they are working on a big update Jan/Feb.

Lets see what they bring with this proper, non festival content first. 4 months in is not enough time. I’m not saying your concerns/ideas aren’t vaild, but it just wont happen at the drop of a hat

I would say wait until January because the rumor is they will be changing many a thing and fixing a large number of bugs in Jan Feb so here’s to hoping. Completely agree tho. I just wrote in another post how the entire game of progression is broken and thus is leading people to having to spend RL money for gems to be converted to gold in the store because of it. It’s really not that well done atm, but they did admit to the problems that Fotm posed and I think they will be making adjustments, hopefully those adjustments will require an open all day and night in game vendor for karma for ascended items because that would be the fix imo.

I would not mind a system that puts players into overflow if a zone has almost no players, that way we can effectively have cross-server zones.

“Here’s a general rundown of what we are working towards over the upcoming months:”
“Adding more variation to creatures, enhancing our open world scaling system, as well as evolving many events and experiences across Tyria.”

Hopefully that equates to what you mentioned. I’d love to see open world events that require more coordination from groups.

I agree that they need to implement a mega server technology or just copy WoW directly and implement cross-realm zones. CRZ’s didn’t work in WoW as they just added more rats to the cage, but they would work in GW2 as the problem of players playing together have been solved here.

This ultimately won’t solve the grouping problem in Orr or Southsun as no one really wants to go there. If people want the Ori there they will just park a character there. No one wants to actually ‘play’ there as it is not fun. They need to go back to the drawing board with the level 80 areas and ask what makes playing a game fun. Assuming they come up with the right answer—problem solved.

It’s dead out there, there’s tumbleweed blowing across the empty areas.

Just played in various areas for 3 hours, not ONE word was said in chat.

It’s pretty much a single palyer game.

If ArenaNet are going to do anything about this they need to get on with it, before people jump ship and leave.

Endgame needs to exist before they can work on it. I hit level 80 on my Guardian weeks ago, and I’m bored to tears.

Fractals have lost most of their appeal, and I’ve only hit 11 or 12. It’s the same set of dungeons, over and over again… And regardless of what anyone at ANet says, it’s a gear grind. If I wanted that, I would’ve stayed with Rift- they did it better, anyway.

I tried starting new characters to stave off the staleness, but then I realized eventually all the characters become Trahearne’s sidekick, and nothing changes. The “epic story quest” that this game was sold on is a sham at best. It all funnels into the same ending… Where’s the fun in that?

The dungeons here are insanely weak. I can’t even describe how much they don’t embody any sense of fun or entertainment. When grouping in other games, even for the purpose of running the same content over and over again, I was at least entertained. Here, people just want to run past mobs and kill bosses as fast as possible- it’s like the GW1 speedclear mentality has carried over to GW2, which completely trivializes any content.

I could start working toward a legendary, seeing as how it’s the only reason to go out and complete any sub-80 maps. The lack of other players in those zones, however, makes the entire world feel empty. Not to mention the fact that the trek to get a legendary embodies the very grindy feel that ANet claims they don’t want in their game.

All I know is, something has to give here. A lot of changes need to be made, quickly, before boredom swallows Tyria long before the dragons can.

Hope is the carrot dangled before the draft horse that plods along in the vain attempt to reach it

Legendaries are suppose to be hard to get a take a long time. That’s why they are legendaries.

Don’t mess with Ascalon!

Not everybody wants to do sPvP, tPvP, WvW, or grind for legendaries, all of that is the same old same old over and over ad infinitum, yawn, boring.

What l want to see is more content, more interesting areas, regenerate the lower areas l want to see people, it’s all so dead, there’s nobody doing anything, the best time was the betas, lots of people jumping in to do everything and now its a dead un.

Lack of incentive to partake in the zones whether you are leveling or lvl80 is what’s missing. Sometime I try to get events going by linking the wps or p.o.i.s…but no one shows up.
Give lower level zones bigger karma rewards if you are higher level, and suddenly zones will fill up more…or at the very least encourage players to do more than just passing through.

i was thinking, why not add a dungeon that randomizes enemies (every single enemy of gw2 could be in it) and structure? I would LOVE to kill different combination of enemies and when the geometry of the dungeon changes all the time, the dungeon doesn’t get old in 2 week. But what i am expecting from the next patch is crappy fotm update with nothing new for those who have fractal weapons/rings and call it a day.

Fact: every Thief tells you to “l2p” when the subject is to nerf stealth.

WoW has been doing overflow and underflow servers since MoP… way ahead of the game. And now Anet can’t even get guesting to work, so clearly something is major wrong with their tech.

From reading this thread there is no end game except for sPvP, tPvP, WvW, and legendaries.
Yeah nothing to do at all :/

sPvP – A gamemode with 0 sense of progression or scoring. With no ability to see ones ranks on a leaderboard and a single boring to play boring to watch game mode conquest (the reason there are like 300 people streaming GW2 on twitch because spvp is a bore to watch) there is very little incentive to carry on after reaching rank 15 or cosmetic goals.

tPvP – a dying gamemode with less and less teams each day, many competitive teams have left and realised GW2 PvP is not at any sort of competitive, On EU servers it’s extremely hard to get a tPvP going as there are so little people willing to play.

WvWvW – again a game mode with little sense of progession or rewards.

Grinding instances – grinding instances for the soul purpose of dress up ? this is fun to you? atleast in other games you grinded instances for a purpose, to get the gear to do those raids, to get the gear to show off your stats to the lesser few in pvp…….. you get what i mean.

While there are things to do at endgame, the things to do are extremely boring and could be done in any other mmo but better and be more fun.
