Now, this idea just came to me while I was complaining about our current ’
end game options’ in GW2.

My Idea is a baseline system to enable development to enable the ability to have actual end game content that will not ruin the rest of the game. So if you do not want to do this style of content then you don’t have to even worry about it.

My Goal is unrestricted, instanced progression. That goes along with the current story progression in the game. And, to do that we need to think about ‘how’ rather then ‘what’.

So the How;
Reflecting of the original sPvP gear system, I feel that all stat based increases should be instanced for that side of the game play. But Skins/Looks/Effects should transport over into the regular game, so ‘end gamers’ can show off their progress. I also feel that there needs to be a progression system so that while you are working on this side of the game, it feels more rewarding. Such as, Rather then always Kill Boss A get a chance of Loot.SkinC lets focus more on pre-reqs in order to move on to the next content release.

I know this idea comes off kinda vague, But I think it has potential if it were to be teamed up with the LS release in tandem.

The What;
One idea is the end ‘Mini’ boss thing from the current story. Maybe make that a raid option for 30+ players to instance into to unlock something special that will be needed in LS part3?

Going this way, we can have isolated gear stat progression, Content skill level progression, and a small keying(Account bound) process too. And since the entirety of this is instanced away from the rest of the game, it doesn’t hurt the current stat weights, unlike in other MMOs.

And yea, playing GW2 since launch; I really feel like there is 0 end game to look forward to. And its time something is done about it.

Please in the name of all thats holy .. if you really want a raid grinder with an endless item progression .. play any of those out there .. there are sooo many of them .. but leave this game alone since a lot of people just want to get rid of that and thats exactly why they play GW2 and not EQWoWStar

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

The only “End-game” I’d play in GW2 would be UW/FoW/Urgoz’s/Deep/DoA. Basically 8-12 man Dungeons that reward you with different “tokens” you can trade in for gear.

Edit: The gear would not be any better than Ascended gear, just have different styles/looks.
