What actually happens when you reach level 80.

Whats out there to do? Is there a high offer on endgame content or will it be spamming dungeons in hopes to get that one lucky loot like all other korean mmo’s I played?

I’m a casual player, so i learned to deal with the whole gamble drop system (aka, player who grinds alot can get nothing, lucky noob can get epic item in 1st time)

It doesn’t really bother me so much anymore, but I wonder how it affects the general gameplay of this game. I read alot of critisism about endgame gear and stuff, but I don’t really know what the deal is about as I have yet to reach level 80. I wan’t to be a little prepared for the moment I do.

The things you did while leveling? Same thing at 80.

Well, I have 4 level 80s currently…. and I still havent beaten every dungeon, never beat story yet… (closeish), highest map completion is at 80%, fractal level is 2…

There is tons of stuff to do in this game even at level 80… but you have to be willing to do it. Alot of people are unwilling to try other areas. Never did WvW? Try it. Curious if you will like fractals? Do one….etc.

Gear only matters in high level fractals due to agony. Thats it. Dont let anyone fool you, gear isnt as important as people pretend it is.

the only real difference between “pre 80” and “post 80” is how much you care about getting XP.

You load up one of many sites with world boss timers, go into proper area and press 1. Important thing is to press 1 correctly, not like all newbs. After you gather necessary ingredients you use your epic crafting station to craft new shiny and then you can logoff because you completed the whole game.

Uh…no.

Levelling: Gain new traits, skills, increased effectiveness, more potent equipment, etc.

End Game: Grind to obtain the slightest improvement in effectiveness.

Unfortunately end game should have been horizontal progression, but instead it is baby steps in power (Power Creep).

Hey dude you are walking into a wall.

smack..Wut?…smack…smack…

Gain new traits, skills, increased effectiveness, more potent equipment, etc.

that’s a list of rewards, not activities or types of game play.

ie: things you get, not things you do
