Engineers, Turrets and the WRONG Targets...
I have this problem too, but it is not a big deal for me. I imagine a rp solution and attribute it to the downs of using mechanical, dumb devices But I would welcome a change of AI, targetting enemies before inanimate objects.
They should just give turrets a pet bar kinda thing where you can tell it to attack your target, stop attacking and attack what is attacking you. Pretty much just like the ranger just without the special attack button.
Be much easier if we could just have our turrets prefer “focus” targets. So if we or a teammate call out a target the turrets all hit THAT target if able.
I gave up with the turrets.
They are about as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
I use Turrets all the time from what I have seen they target the closest target to them first then move to the next I found that if you keep smart about WHERE and HOW you place them even with yellow items around they WELL switch to a mob once its closer then the yellow. Then again I tend to set up Kill Boxes where I can and pull stuff back to it.
Bad targeting and auto aggroing pets and turrets has been an issue for some time. Thats what I’ve experienced.
