Enough with poison.
..seven gods..?! I thought there were six?

Yup. Five if you don’t count Kormir (and, really, no one should count her . . . ever).

One of the gods is actually two goddesses in one. So, six or seven, depending on how you count.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

Possibly more if you count dead gods, half-gods and ex-gods like Dhuum, Abaddon and Menzies.
There are only 6 true gods in the current timeline. We could go technical and say there are 5+ kormir and that lyssa is 2 in 1 (lol) ,we can also say there are 0 cause they left… but doesn’t change that there are 6 true gods in the current timeline.
As for poison… get condi clenses and higher health pool, change your build a bit or feel free to make more posts about how there are specific areas in the game that make it hard for your full glass cannon character to survive…
Well.. Vines and venom is pretty much the theme of the entire expansion so..
Do you mean the Jungle Tendril attack, OP? Dodging those has been a must since forever (well, since LS2). Those attacks are super-easy to avoid, tbh. An L2P issue if I’ve ever seen one.
If anything, Smokescale and Snipers are a far greater annoyance.

Snipers – if you screw up and get downed, you stay down. x.x
Not to mention all the annoying parts like stealthing.
Smokescales are the worst, you can dodge once/twice but I’ve never been able to interupt them (how can a smokescreen advoid my aoe? How can not being seen advoid Lava?).
Vines and Snipers – just move back and forth, they target where you were standing at the time of attack. You can just move out of the attacks without having to dodge. Works for the frog blade guys and i think stalkers, huge damage if you stand and take it. But low damage if you’ve already moved out of their attacks.

I go around in HoT maps with my mesmer and look out the Snipers just so I can put Feedback on them and the laugh loudly when they kill themselves.

You need reflection in HoT.
I dont think Ive carried any type of reflection in HoT at all unless it was baked into a damaging skill

OP, why are you allowing yourself to be hit by these extremely slow and highly telegraphed attacks?
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions
Some really good tips here & thanks

I think Lyssa the god is the single entity which is both the twins (as in one of the twins is not a god, it requires both).
Abaddon is the only true god. He died for our sins.
The tastiest poisons come in those brightly colored containers under the sink. Don’t tell the kids, they aren’t mature enough to appreciate it
condition is the “in” thing now
or do u prefer raw damage instead?

I don’t like raw damage. I prefer it well done.
Why has the devs decided that poison is the way to kill players. It is absolutely a cheap way out of fighting. The Hylek use way to much and no way to remove it. Also why are they invincible to attacks when the players aren’t. It seems that the devs are going out of their way to just get cheap kills. Also the distance the Hylak can hot you from is farther than the Ranger’s Great bow will Strike. Totally crap. Make the game fair instead of just kitten frustrating. Especially with the maps becoming emptier with each passing day.
I’ve been playing since early access, so forgive this noobish question, but which class has absolutely no condition clear ability? You know, the other cc.
People die to poison?
Is it a troll post?
Can’t you equip a condition cleanse? Can’t you use a traitline that provides you with condition cleanse? Can’t you dodge the attacks? Don’t you have anyway whatsoever to reflect? Sorry it looks more like a L2P issue.
Anyway what class do you play?
I don’t know about cheap, but it’s definitely SLOW. I guess if poison is cheap, I will be glad to have the luxury editions of ‘player killing’ effects.
Yeah, the Coztic need some tweaking. For a trash mob, the Coztic archers are way too deadly. A single one of these Shadowleapers can kill you if you are not fully alert, which is very different to a lot of the mobs outside of HoT.
However, I run a full DPS warrior with only 20k hp at level 80 which is one significant reason for me fearing these guys.

Hylek certainly use a lot of poison. They do good damage at range, too.
However, they are hardly invincible and one needn’t die fighting them. If you’d like some advice on how to fight them, start a new thread asking for help. In that thread, tell us what prof(s) you use, your overall stats (e.g. zerker, dire, whatever), and your preferred weapons. Be prepared to adapt your play (in big or maybe just small ways).
Frog poison is awesome, I don’t see the complaint here. It almost sounds like you don’t enjoy putting frogs in your mouth so you can go on a spirit journey to see the benevolent hyperspatial machine elves that live beyond the moon.
Shameful, really
