Guild Wars 2

I’ve received four messages in the last week from gold sellers. How about a filter on the emails, filtering out the “I love you messages” or some registration qualification that prevents the use of random characters? Could we please get this looked at?

Just keep reporting the whole thing will die out soon.

Aha thats what that i love you message was. I hit delete instead of opening..looked suspicious..

well you could be like me and not open the mail. I have a ton of mail probably infractions and stuff but I just dont open it. Problem solved LoL

You can report them tho if you want.

Maybe a simpler option than your filtering idea would be if added an option to block private messages.

Lots of forums have that feature built in. Spammers are simply exploiting an oversight in ours.

Have you EVER played Guild Wars (the good one, not GW2)? The game is 7+ years old and people still spam the SAME site with the SAME message. I have reported the spam messages literally HUNDREDS of times. Ill keep reporting, but I dont think Anet/NC$oft will give a kitten since the spammers have to buy accounts to spam.

That never got me interested for various reasons, but yeah I would like to see a bit more GW1 things, that I heard about, in GW2, but I have to say that from the basic game design GW2 is superior in my eyes..

Two things:
1. I didn’t reciece any in-game e-mails from Gold Seller for quite a long time. So at least in this game it seems to work. Please don’t ask me why it doesn’t work in the original GW.
2. That is 60 bugs for ANet every time a new Spammer arives, it is actually a nice way to support ANet without paying with your money. So it seems like a win-win situation ^^
