Enough with the vision distortion gimmicks.
It seemed as though the dwayna fight lighting was in fact a VFX scaling bug, and not intended. It is a dangerous level of strobing and I’d forgot about it until you just mentioned it. Submit a bug report!
There are a lot of examples of lack of creativity in the challenges in this game. The majority of the game PVE wise is based on mobs or bosses taking control of your character away. That is a terrrible mechanic. Especially in a game that does such a terrible job of showing when a mob or boss is about to attack. Taking control away is never a good idea. It’s not fun for the player. You can make dungeons ridiculously challenging while still allowing the end user to play the game.
I know it will make a lot of people mad but World of Warcraft built an empire on challenging dungeons that don’t have to resort to cheap gameplay to provide challenge/entertainment.
I know this video has been posted a million times on these forums but it just makes sense… And it still seems like no one at ANet watched it. While anticipation is good. It shouldn’t be the only form of counter. For instance a thief stealth + backstab. Everyone says oh yeah just block/roll right before he backstabs… That’s not counter play. That is lucky timing.
Counter play would be what WoW and SWTOR have with the Hunter (WoW) Trooper/Bounty Hunter (SWTOR). When you know someone is stealthed in the area you can drop a stealth reveal circle on the ground. You are actively countering another classes mechanic. Although stealth is just completely terrible in this game altogether so even having a class with a reveal would be a fail anyway.
Lack of an esport/pvp community can be directly attributed to lack of counter play. If you think GW2 has a solid pvp community because of this silly low budget tourny coming up… You’re very gullible.

To be honest, when this happened to me, I thought my graphics card was dieing. I’ve had one incident a while ago where I had a faulty graphics card driver installation and it completely borked the colors and GFX on my entire monitor. I had to go into safe mode and uninstall the graphics driver, then redownload and reinstall to fix it. This “special effect” in GW2 made the game look very similar to what happened when my GFX driver was borked. I was quite worried. Not cool.
That whiteout blurr is a graphical error on anets part, theres a bug fix in place now so it shouldnt happen again.
as for the sport comment…
There is no esport when you can simply stunlock from 100-0 with no DR on cc, and the ability to remove stability boons

Turn down post processing and this worthless crap will never be seen.
This game is chock full of used-car-salesman-gimmick type immature tricks. All in the name of the gold sink called “repairs”. The only “fun” and “challenge” was for the Devs to see how many times they could get away with killing players before the players would give up.
