Q:
Environmental noise
so you are playing at the office? tsts…
I don’t know for sure but I imagine sliding down “Environment” while leaving “Effects” up will do what you’re asking. That assumes monster sounds are effects, not environment.
Q:
I could play GW all day without any problem. Yes, I was younger then, but I cannot play GW2 for more than 45 minutes before the constant in-game noise is enough to cause a headache. It’s a good thing OSHA doesn’t monitor game sounds!
The battle noise or Claw of Jormag doesn’t bother me. Specifically, it’s the sound effects from way stations, squeaky gears in the crafting areas, and constant background noise that does not contribute to game play. I’ve turned the volume down so low that I can’t tell what’s going on around me until I’m dead! There has to be a setting in the sounds that will allow me to hear the less repetitive noises (like someone/thing coming up behind me) but filter out the sounds that trigger headaches. It gets worse with every new release – it seems they add new “electronic” noises every update.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?
