Equipment Guides work?

I’m leveling a new character. And joined the priory. At level 70, I wanted to look at the armor and saw “Priory Equipment Guide”.

This sounds like it unlocks all the skins for all armor and weapons. But I bought it – at level 70 – and used it. It looked like it succeeded, but nothing. And no other toon sees it on the merchant now.

So, what does this do? I don’t have any of the skins at this point.
Bugged because I used it at level 70 when it says level 80?
Or do I have to log out and back in for it to work – another bug?
Or do I completely misunderstand what the heck this is for?
Thanks a ton,
ww

It’s for a collection. It would be under your Achievements/Collections tab and all your characters would be able to see it.

There are many collections in the game. You unlock them and then, if you are lucky, you may get one collectible in a drop somewhere and your collection can then start. There are small gifts for filling a collection. In your case, I guess you have to buy, or get awarded, different sorts of Priory amor or weapons. I haven’t done that one so I am not sure.

That consumable unlocks the ability to work on and complete the collection.

You should be able to see it unlocked in your Collections tab(s) now.

If you know that collections in this game are achievements completed by collecting items, and not the sets of items themselves then the description makes perfect sense.

But I can see how it could be confusing for someone who has never encountered collections before and has no idea what they are or how they work.

Fortunately it’s a pretty cheap item and if you’re going to buy some of the priory armor anyway it could be a useful thing to have.
